My 2026 Track Season
THE COACH WHO STILL COMPETES. 🏃♂️
Another outdoor track season completed. Some great moments, plenty of lessons and a few unfinished goals!
🏆 Multiple club records broken
🥉 National Masters medallist
🏆 Masters League champions
📈 Improvements across 200m–800m
On paper, a pretty successful season.
But did I achieve everything I set out to do? No.
My main target remained out of reach, and although I’ve made progress across several distances, there’s still plenty of work to do.
That’s one of the things I love about athletics. No matter how much experience you have, there’s always something to improve.
I’ve been fortunate to train and compete alongside some fantastic athletes this season. A big thank you to my training group, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way. 👊
As a coach, I believe it’s important to continue challenging myself.
I’m still training, still competing, still learning and constantly looking for ways to improve.
That experience is something I bring into my coaching at Hawkey’s Performance.
Whether I’m working with footballers, runners or athletes from other sports, the objective is always the same: help people become better athletes.
🎯 NEXT CHALLENGE: PROJECT SUB-2:00
The goal for 2026/27 is simple.
Run under two minutes for 800m as a masters athlete.
I’ll be sharing more of my own training, racing, strength work and the thinking behind my sessions, alongside the work I do coaching other athletes.
The good sessions, the difficult ones, the successes and probably a few disappointments along the way!
Different athletes. Different abilities. Different goals. One mindset.
BE BETTER. ⚡
