Lessons will be on today. Please bring plenty of water and sun protection. Spectators are welcome to watch from the grassy area between the pool and the school building.

With the summer weather, many of us will be enjoying open water to keep cool ans have some fun. That's fantastic! BUT it is so important to be aware of the dangers of the water and know what to do when things dont go quite as expected.

Please share the information below with your children, and make sure they follow the advice.

We are saddened to hear of the deaths of 7 teenagers to drowning during the recent hot weather.

Respect for the water, understanding the dangers and gaining swimming competence is so important. Sadly most children dont get enough lessons to be considered fully competent.

Even competent swimmers should never swim alone.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the families of these young people.

Remember how you felt when your child took their first steps? It feels just the same when they take their first strokes of independent swimming. My little boy achieved this today at 3 years old. Proud dad moment!
