FULL TIME

We move on to the draw of the League Cup after a 2-0 win at home to Thorverton

A game where we were on the front foot from kick off, but Kit was equally as busy as the visiting keeper.

Eden grabbed a first half strike to put us 1-0 up at the break.

Much the same second half, where Eden grabbed his second from the spot after a handball was penalised, sending the keeper the wrong way.

Thorverton pushed for a way back but Kit in our goal was resolute and led our team from the back, making some great saves, as well as distributing efficiently.

2-0 win, home at Longcross, with immense support from the stands, but the only negative is a serious injury to Kieron Sweet. Carried off on a stretcher with a suspected broken ankle. We all wish him well and a speedy recovery. The Darts are all with him.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Eden Cresswell-Cluer was awarded our man of the match against Ipplepen.

Aside from scoring our goal, Eden was a constant threat going forwards, and was unfortunate not to have added another goal in the game too.

Chairman, Gary Lobb presented Eden with his bottle in memory of our late friend Dave Lawrence. Rest in peace, Dave.

FULL TIME

We exit the Devon Premier Cup following a 1-2 defeat to Ipplepen

A game of two half’s really, and could and should have gone in at half time with a bigger lead than 1-0.

But the second half, we were a few yards off the pace at times and Ipplepen capitalised with a set piece to equalise and the winner came from a bit of sloppy defending allowing a 3 yard tap in.

Good luck to Ipplepen in the next round.

We have another cup game next week, hosting Thorverton in the league cup.
