📣 DARWEN CRICKET CLUB CATERING UPDATE 📣

The ladies at Buffet Emporium have officially made the decision to close their business, and have handed in their notice with us at DCC, they will no longer be the club’s caterer after 29th November.

We’d like to thank Alison Bennett and Louise Isherwood for their time at Darwen Cricket Club, they will be missed but we wish them all the very best for the future.

🚨 BUT… WATCH THIS SPACE 👀

This also presents an exciting opportunity for an individual, company or organisation to take on the catering offer at DCC and build and grow their own business.

The opportunity would involve serving our players, members, junior section, wider community, functions, commercial bookings and wakes, with the potential to develop the catering operation alongside everything that Darwen Cricket Club has to offer.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be - get in touch and keep your eyes peeled for further updates 👀

🍽️ Could you be the next catering partner at DCC?

If you currently have a booking at Darwen Cricket Club, please be reassured that your booking remains in place. The Operations Manager Graham Ainslie has confirmed that an advert will be issued this week for a new in-house caterer.

Darwen Cricket Club will contact all customers with bookings in December 2026.

Something spooky is coming to Darwen Cricket Club… and it’s going to be fang-tastic 🧙‍♀️🕷️

Join us on Saturday 31st October for our very first Family Boo Bash - an afternoon packed with Halloween fun for the whole family! 👻

🎃 3pm – 6:30pm
🕸️ Spooky decorations and games
🌭🍕 Hotdog or pizza slice plus sweet treats for the kiddies included with their tickets
🎶 Spooky Music
👻 Fancy dress competition with prizes
🍀 Lucky dip for mini prizes and a boozy tombola for the adults (please bring cash for these)
🧛‍♀️ Plenty of Halloween fun

Get the little ones dressed in their best spooky outfits and come along for an afternoon of Halloween mayhem at DCC 🎃👻

🎟️ Tickets: £12 per child (plus 50p booking fee)
🆓 Accompanying adults FREE - limit of 2 adults per family, please order a FREE adult ticket so we are aware of numbers - the bar will be open as usual ☺️

📣 CANS FOR SALE – JUST 50p CASH EACH 👀🍻

We’ve got a couple of hundred mixed cans left over at the club following the World Cup and Beer Festival.

They’re all in date into next year, but with summer now coming to an end, we’re unlikely to get the opportunity to sell them at the club. They’re also taking up some much-needed space in our stores!

So… 50p per can to take away! 😍

The clubhouse will be open for senior training, so just pop to the bar between 6 and 9 and our staff will be happy to help.

🛍️ Please bring CASH for payment plus a bag, box or suitable container to take them away in. Most of the cans are loose as they’ve been cooled individually throughout the summer.

50p a can – bargain 👀🍻

No pre-orders I’m afraid… Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
