Deanshanger Athletic FC As well as the men's teams, Deanshanger is proud to boast a ladies team that has seen great success over the past 4 seasons.

Deanshanger Athletic Football Club is a team founded in 1946, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes and is affiliated to the Northamptonshire Football Association. A youth section run by the Deanshanger Colts incorporates boys and girls between the ages of 6- 16. Between the two clubs we are always on the lookout for both local and surrounding talent. Deanshanger Athletic has a proud and successful history in both the UCL and more recently the North Bucks & District Leagues. Recent times have seen Deanshanger Athletic win League and Cup doubles in consecutive seasons, and they are looking as well to develop their youth set-up to help create some stars of the future. The club boasts some of the better facilities in the league, with astro turf training pitch and a large club house that provides Sky TV for all the big football matches, pool table and dart boards, as well as being able to hold large functions like parties.

A mixed bag of results over the weekend for both teams.

A lacklustre performance from the first team saw them go down to AFC Invictus 3-0. Things will have to improve next week if they are to progress in the Divisional Cup.

The Ressies ran riot at home, putting six past Mursley Devs, with striker Ben Baker notching five! With a few players missing they still put in a shift to take all 3 points.

After positive results for both teams in the County Cup last week, the focus turns back to the league campaign with two tricky fixtures. The first team travel over to Middleton to face Invictus who are on a good run of results, whilst the reserves host Mursley Devs who sit just one place above them in the table.

If you are free this afternoon why not come along and support the teams, kickoff as always is 2pm.

Double delight for the Shanger as both teams progress in the County Cup! Goals galore and a solid defensive display from both First and Reserves means we can look forward to another round in the competition.

Focus turns back to the league campaign next weekend as the Reserves host Mursley Development

Match day is upon us!! Pitches all across the country starting to get a bit greener as we head into autumn and our pitch is no exception! Head down to Folly Road at 2pm to watch our Reserves in County Cup action. Or if you fancy an away trip, head across to Banbury to watch our First team.

County Cup action for both teams this weekend. The Reserves have a home tie against Thrapston Venturas Development, whilst the First Team head over to Banbury to take on Kings Sutton Reserves. Both 2pm kickoffs with a chance to progress into the next round. Good luck to both teams!

In a quite ridiculous game and one definitely for the neutrals, points were shared at Folly Road but both teams are probably thinking how did they not take all 3.
Olney were 4-1 up with half an hour to go before a spirited fight back from Shanger saw us claw back the deficit and eventually take the lead with less than 5 minutes remaining, only for Olney to sn**ch a last minute equaliser.
Once again, first half performance has cost us but the spirt and determination to get back into the game shouldn't go unnoticed

Attention turns to the County Cup next week as both teams are in action.

Just the one game tomorrow with our Reserves hosting Olney. We are hoping to kick start our season after a defeat in our opening fixture.

Kick off 2pm, bring a brolley and/or a windbreaker!!

A rainy afternoon in Shanger saw the First Team take all 3 points. Showing a different side to their play, we had to dig in and defend for the last half an hour after going down to 10 men, but already being 2-0 up by that point we had to something to fight for. Icing on the cake came from a 45 yard "shot" from our captain which looped over the keeper to settle proceedings.

After 3 games in 7 days and with maximum points on the board it's been a very good start to the season and we now have a week off to watch how the other teams in the division get on.

The Reserves continue their campaign at Home on saturday 5th September with a fixture against Olney Reserves, hoping to bring their second half performance in the week forward into this game

Deanshanger Athletic's third game of the season sees them take on MK United Development. Going to be a tough game as our opponents have just come off a good away win in the week, beating AFC Invictus 5-1.

Kickoff is 2pm so why not come down and support the team. Beer on tap and Sky Sports in the bar afterwards to watch the results come in.

Last night Deanshanger Athletic travelled across to Mursley in what we knew would be a really tough game. By all accounts it turned out to be the best performance from a Shanger team in a very long time, coming out victorious 6-1. Every player in the squad played their part, whether starting or coming off the bench to contribute, and it means we go into the weekend with 2 wins from 2. Long way to go but a positive start.

Deanshanger are at home at the weekend to MK United Devs, please come along and support the team, kick off is 2pm.
