💧 HYDRATE • PERFORM • RECOVER 💧

Training hard starts with looking after yourself.

It’s important to stay hydrated before, during and after training — but remember, too much water can be just as risky as too little.

⚠️ Avoid energy drinks — they can cause dehydration and fatigue.

🛑 If you feel unwell, stop immediately and let your instructor know.

Kickboxing is about performance, discipline, and wellbeing — and that starts with smart hydration.

Can you help with a research project? Open to non-martial artists AND martial artists.

In addition to teaching Kickboxing I am also a psychology student at the Open University. As part of my studies, I am conducting a research project that contributes to my degree.

My project explores how an individuals levels of wellbeing, physical activity, self-compassion and perceived social support can be used to predict their level of self-confidence. My hope is that the findings will help to identify opportunities to implement public health strategies to improve overall levels of self-confidence in adults.

You have been invited because I am looking for participants from the general adult population, aged 18 years and over, in the United Kingdom to give a broad understanding of the influences on an individuals self-confidence. You will be asked questions about how you rate your levels of wellbeing, social support networks, self-compassion and physical activity levels. If you feel that answering questions on any of these topics may trigger negative feelings or emotions, please consider carefully if you feel you are able to proceed.

Participation is voluntary and completely anonymous.

The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete
