🌲 It's FSC Forest Week.

'Do one thing for forests' is this year's theme. Ours is managing Delamere Forest sustainably, helping to create a more resilient forest that supports wildlife, stores carbon and provides sustainable timber for generations to come.

At Forestry England we care for the nation’s forests so people, wildlife and nature can thrive. From restoring habitats to producing sustainable timber and creating inspiring places to visit, we’re shaping forests that will flourish for generations.

Throughout the year we carry out a wide range of essential work to improve access, support wildlife, restore habitats, increase resilience to climate change, pests and diseases, and grow sustainable timber. That means there will be times when parts of Delamere Forest look a little different as we invest in its long-term future. Delamere Forest is a natural environment and working woodland, not a manicured landscape. Part of its beauty comes from the fact that it is constantly growing, changing and evolving.

The work you see is all part of caring for a forest that can be enjoyed by people and wildlife for generations to come. 🌳🌲
