Despite several heavy downpours and players ending the day thoroughly soaked, the Bill Wicks internal competition went ahead yesterday.

After some closely contested matches, three teams progressed to the final round, each having secured two wins. Team A then went on to win their final game, making them the Bill Wicks Shield winners!

Congratulations to Cheryl, Tony and Daron on a fantastic achievement and well-deserved victory!

This was the first club win for Cheryl and Tony.

We’re always looking to welcome new members, and our friendly coaches will be on hand to introduce you to the basics of the game – no experience needed.

Just bring a pair of flat shoes and we’ll provide the rest!

Denham Bowls Club were delighted to welcome Area 10 of the Aston Martin Members Club for a fantastic day of bowls.

The car park looked amazing with a wonderful display of Aston Martins - and even a Ferrari! Sixteen members then took to the green to try their hand at bowls, with coaching from Karen, Jen and David. There were some very impressive bowls delivered throughout the day and plenty of laughter along the way!

After a morning of learning and practice, everyone enjoyed a delicious homemade hot lunch, courtesy of Roz and Rose, before returning to the green for a friendly competition of 8 ends. Congratulations to Jane Brill, Karen Stretch and Tony McMahon, who each received a bottle of wine as the winning team.

A huge thank you to all the DBC members who helped make the day such a success. The feedback from AMOC members was incredibly positive and everyone agreed it was a brilliant day enjoyed by all.
