I recently saw a post from another dance school that really resonated with me and, after our exam weekend, it felt more relevant than ever.

Watching so many of our dancers take their exams reminded me that being a dance teacher is about so much more than teaching steps.

The girls have spent months practising, preparing and working towards their exams. For some, it was their very first exam without their teacher in the room and, if I'm honest, I was probably just as nervous as they were!

I found myself waiting by the door, taking the odd sneak peek and counting down the minutes until they came out so I could ask how it had gone.

As teachers, we get to see all the hard work that happens behind the scenes. The extra practice, the determination, the improvements from week to week and the little moments when something finally clicks.

Seeing the smiles on their faces as they came out of their exams made all those months of hard work worthwhile.

To every dancer who took an exam this weekend, thank you for making us so proud. Whether it was your first exam or your tenth, you walked in there, gave it your all and should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Well done girls, we couldn't be prouder of you all. 💜

Stage 3 have been working really hard to learn their routines for our summer nights presentation 💜 well done girls!

We’re really excited to be opening up our Competition Team for the 2026/27 season 3!

If your child loves performing, wants to build confidence, and is ready for a new challenge, we’d love them to come along to our Audition Workshop.

This is a relaxed and supportive session where dancers will get the chance to try different styles, work in groups, and experience what being part of the competition team is all about.

We offer opportunities in solos, duets, trios and group routines across a range of styles.

Please note dancers must be current Studio students and regularly attend classes in the style they would like to compete in.

Workshop Details:

Age 3–6: 5.00 – 5.45
Age 7–9: 5.45 – 7.00
Age 10+: 7.00 – 8.30
