We met Vex King✨🩵🤩

Last year, our Founder, Sonam, stumbled across his book Good Vibes, Good Life at the airport. She picked it up and opened a random page, which happened to be a dedication to his mother. This resonated deeply with Sonam, and it was all she needed to read to purchase the book🩵

She was glued to it for the entirety of her holiday and began a journey of self-discovery. Thanks to Vex for shining his light, Sonam was able to find hers. 🩵

Something as simple as picking up a book at an airport became the catalyst for something much bigger. The Manasi Foundation and its duty to serve the community.

Thank you, Vex. We are forever in debt to you. 🩵✨📚

Skincare, self-care and community. 🤍

As part of The Manasi Foundation’s Women’s Collective, we hosted a skincare workshop designed to create a space for women to learn, connect and take some time for themselves.

From understanding different skin types and building a skincare routine, to exploring products and techniques, the session was practical, interactive and most importantly, a chance to come together.

We believe wellbeing is about more than exercise. It’s about creating opportunities to learn, develop, connect and invest in yourself.

This workshop was one of the many ways we’re bringing our mission to life through Movement, Music and Mentorship, creating accessible spaces that support self-development and wellbeing across generations.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the session so special. 🌱

🖤BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2026 🖤

This year’s theme is Honouring Our Communities and we couldn’t think of a better way to mark Black History Month than by honouring the people who make up ours.

The people in this picture represent just a small part of the Manasi community.

The men and women who have shown up, shared their stories, tried something new, supported one another, stepped outside their comfort zones, volunteered, collaborated, created, moved and simply made space for each other.

From our programmes and workshops, to our events, magazines and conversations, Manasi has always been about people.

Our community is diverse in age, background, experience and journey, but what brings us together is a shared belief in connection, self-development and wellbeing.

This Black History Month, we want to celebrate the Black members of our community and recognise the contribution they make to the spaces around them.

Meet Jamayne🕺🏾As part of our Sport England funded programme Men on Mats, we’re sharing one man’s story each month - stories that are featured in our Men’s Collective magazine.

Jamayne is a dancer who uses movement as a form of expression, creativity and connection. His journey is a reminder that life comes with both good days and difficult ones, and that learning to navigate both is part of personal growth.

When reflecting on the mindset that has helped him through life, Jamayne shared:

“Knowing the phrase – ‘This too shall pass.’ That goes for good days and bad days.”

Sometimes, wellbeing isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about recognising that difficult moments are temporary, giving yourself permission to keep going and remembering to appreciate the good moments when they come.

For Jamayne, dance is more than movement. It is a form of expression, identity and connection, a reminder of how powerful movement can be in supporting our overall wellbeing.

At Men on Mats, we believe movement can open doors to more than physical activity. It can help us build confidence, express ourselves, connect with others and create space to reflect.

Follow along as we continue to share the stories of men in our community, and join us at our next session.

Another Sunday well spent at Men on Mats X Sport England 🩵

Last weekend, we brought the Men on Mats community together for another afternoon of movement, connection and wellbeing.

The session included boxing, team games, yoga and Animal Flow, giving everyone the opportunity to try something different, challenge themselves and, most importantly, enjoy being part of a community.

What we love most about Men on Mats is seeing men of different ages, backgrounds and abilities come together in the same space. Some arrive knowing exactly what they’re doing, others are trying something completely new, but everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace and without judgement.

Men on Mats was created to provide men with a space to prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing, build connections and discover new ways to look after themselves.

And every session reminds us why this space matters.

A huge thank you to our facilitators, volunteers, partners and everyone who continues to show up and make Men on Mats what it is. 🩵
