A Pakistan vs India fixture always brings incredible hype and excitement wherever it is played, but this contest has an extra edge, with popular TikTok cricket creators including “Cricket Badger” and several other well-known personalities taking part in what promises to be a fantastic evening of cricket and entertainment.

🏏 Week 9 Individual Performances 🏏

⭐ Mohit Khokher produced a truly extraordinary spell with the ball, delivering a match-winning performance that saw him finish with remarkable figures of 7/27 from his 10 overs. His control, experience, and ability to take wickets at crucial moments played a huge role in Derby City CC’s victory.

🏏 Harris Butt once again demonstrated his class and value to the team with a composed and influential innings of 66 runs. Anchoring the innings when it mattered most, Harris provided the stability and control that laid the foundation for DCCC’s competitive total.

🏏 Week 9 League Summary 🏏

After winning the toss, Derby City CC elected to bat first and got off to a superb start, with the opening partnership taking the score beyond the 100-run mark. Although a couple of quick wickets slowed the momentum, DCCC finished strongly in their trademark fashion, attacking from the outset and finding boundaries all around the ground.

Crucial late-order contributions from Mohsin and Bilal helped Derby City CC post an impressive 260/7 from their allotted overs.

What followed in the second innings was nothing short of extraordinary.

Swarkestone began their chase positively, but the introduction of spin turned the game firmly in DCCC’s favour. Leading the charge was the experienced Mohit, who delivered a sensational, match-winning spell. Showing all his class and control, Mohit claimed an outstanding 7 wickets, earning a well-deserved Player of the Match award as Swarkestone were bowled out for 164.

🏏 Derby City T10 Blast – Week 2 Match Summary 🏏

After an enthralling opening week, the Derby City T10 Blast continued with two exciting encounters in Week 2.

Burton Stars vs CricPro

Burton Stars got off to a strong start after being put into bat by CricPro, who elected to field after winning the toss. However, CricPro soon realised the challenge ahead as the Burton batters found the boundary with ease.

The standout performer was Umar Riaz, who produced a sensational unbeaten 69 off just 23 balls, earning the Man of the Match award and guiding Burton Stars to an imposing 153/3 from their 10 overs.

In reply, CricPro never quite found the momentum they needed and finished on 121/6, falling 32 runs short of the target.

Kulkeh vs Rawalakot

Kulkeh won the toss and chose to field first, a decision that paid immediate dividends. Despite a promising start, Rawalakot lost their way in the middle overs and were restricted to 85/9.

The star with the ball was Ibrahim Ahmed, whose superb spell of 3/15 from 2 overs earned him the Man of the Match award.

Kulkeh then made light work of the chase, reaching the target in just 6.2 overs. Attiq ur Rehman once again set the tone with a quick-fire 24 from 9 balls, while Adeel Arshad calmly guided his side home with an unbeaten 27 from just 10 deliveries.

Back on home soil this week following last weekend’s victory over Allestree. We now face Swarkestone as we look to maintain our position at the top of the table.

After an enthralling opening week, we now move into Week 2 of the Derby City T10 Blast. Due to the weather forecast, this week’s fixtures will take place on Friday, our designated reserve day, with conditions looking much more favourable heading into the weekend.

🔥 Match 1
Burton Stars, led by the passionate Hassan, take on CricPro, Leicestershire’s very own side captained by the experienced Janak. Expect another exciting contest to get Week 2 underway in style.

🔥 Match 2
Two teams who experienced the thrills of T10 cricket in Week 1 go head-to-head as Rawalakot look to register their first win of the tournament against Atiq’s Kulkeh side, who impressed with a strong performance in their opening fixture.

Week 1 Standings Update 🏏🔥

🏏 Juniors Update 🏏

Our Under-11s recorded their first victory over local rivals Darley Abbey CC this week with an excellent all-round team performance. Every player contributed, showing great determination, teamwork, and commitment throughout the match.

We also presented two Man of the Match awards this week — one for Week 2 and one for Week 3. Both awards recognise outstanding individual performances from players who have made a significant impact on the team, both on and off the field.

👏 Congratulations to Hanan and Musa on receiving their well-deserved awards. Keep up the fantastic work and continue setting a great example for your teammates.
