Yesterday turned out well with a P2 finish for Richard Neary in Motor Racing Legends’ GT3 Legends at Donington Park. Not a bad start for its first outing under the Team Abba Racing Banner. Different day today with rain forecast and some tweaks to the car completed. The 50 minute race is at 3.20pm this afternoon Motor Racing Legends Mercedes-AMG Motorsport

And now for something completely different, racing in his Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 Richard Neary will complete solo in the Motor Racing Legends Donington Historic Festival. Racing in its original livery (blue and silver) Richard has qualified 8th for the 30 car line up. The first race is at 10.50 and tomorrow’s race at 3.15pm. Wet and windy is the forecast 💨☔️

Spa curse once again for Team ABBA on lap 6 😞. An ‘off’ by the no.9 McLaren delivered an enormous cloud residue across the track momentarily blinded Richard Neary at Blanchimont. Fearing the possibility of ‘harpooning’ a stricken car Richard lifted off the throttle and in doing so lost the back end, unbalancing the car resulting in the no.8 car hitting the wall. Although he managed to limp the car back to the pits, too much damage, including a hit by the no.86 Honda on turn 1 in lap 1 at the start of the race, led to a very early retirement for the Team. Absolutely gutted for both drivers with Sam Neary yet again unable to do one lap in the race. It will be a long drive home tonight 🫤. Thanks as always Team for such a sterling effort with the car and also to Laurie Southern Photo for capturing the moments this weekend 👍

Good morning, it was a ‘middle of the road’ qualifying result yesterday with the narrowest of margins again. A few set up changes in play today.

Well it’s an early start today at Spa in Belgium for round five of British GT Championship. Another three hour race this weekend and it’s going to be a scorcher ☀️!!
