I've been invited by Gusto Tool Co. To ride their Spondon Yamaha TZ350 in the CRMC - Classic Racing Motorcycle Club ACU Wheatcroft trophy race at Donington park. It's the race of the year in the classic scene.
Really looking forward to being back out on one of these glorious bikes and riding around the iconic Donington park, my favourite track.

Unfortunately racing is going to have to take a back seat for a little bit.
Being a self funded racer, and a contractor I can only race when the work is flowing. It's been a bit hit and miss on that front lately... And for once in my life I'm going to prioritise bills but mainly Child maintenance (They'll be hell if I miss that ๐Ÿคฃ)

If there is a rich cougar out there, I will be willing to sacrifice my dignity for entry fees ๐Ÿ˜œ

Good to see all the hard work is paying for Dannisport.
Very very good leathers and gloves with amazing customer service.
And as I've found out, they deal well with sliding on your ass on tarmac... Evidence of my adventures is on the website lol.

I would highly recommend

2026 officially started for me this Easter weekend at Cadwell Park for the opening round of the CRMC - Classic Racing Motorcycle Club Season.
I was onboard my own Honda CB500, which is a new class for the club.

I went into the weekend a tad pessimistic considering how poor last season was, but I should have never doubted the just eat weapon and I instantly felt at ease back on a CB500.

A lot of work has gone into her over the winter, and is basically wanting for nothing (just some top end ponies maybe ๐Ÿ˜)

Qualifying - 5th on track, 4th in class. I was happy with that ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Race 1 - 4th on track, 3rd CB500. Podium ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Race 2 - Cancelled due to excessive winds as storm Rodney rolled into town

Race 3 - 5th on track, 4th CB500. After a rough night of track we went out on wet tyres on a drying track scenario. Was in the mix for 3rd and was waiting until the last lap to possibly make a move, but it got red flagged. No drama tho, I was happy

Race 4 - 4th on track, 3rd CB500. Proper bring it home race and think of the long game. Lonely race, but I finished every session on track without binning it.

You have to take your hats off to Joe Barton, the chap is just different gravy and had 6secs a lap on us easily. Another top rider in Tony Waistnage unfortunately appeared to have bike issues so we only got to see his true pace occasionally.
A chap called Stephen Allan came down from the Scottish champs for a shakedown and he was my closest competitor all weekend. We have some good fair dices.

So happy with getting a bit of love back for the sport and can't wait for the rest of the season. Pembrey next which is an awesome track, love the place.

Big thank you for the support from:
