Our third and final post honouring our “three amigos” who represented Great Britain at the .bruneisport

This time it is the turn of .wushu

Yavor is the 2024 British under 18 Wushu champion in both empty hand and short weapon events following great performances at the UK National championships back in July.

3 days before we were due to fly to Brunei, Yavor unfortunately picked up an injury and which meant he was unable to compete. Naturally devastated as we all were for him, Yavor displayed remarkable maturity and humility in not only accepting the situation as hard as it must have been for him, but also in turning his focus and attention to supporting and being there for his team mates and

We’re extremely grateful to Yavor for his selflessness, friendship and great character. That’s what Wushu is all about.

Time to look forward to Tianjin 2026.
