FUND RAISING FOR THE DERBY & BURTON HOLIDAY CARAVAN

Please Help Paul Harris raise his £1000 or more if we can.

On 11 October, Paul Harris will be shooting a full 75 clays at our shoot, wearing nothing but a Mankini. As you’re probably aware, the weather at our ground, can be changeable and can get very cold, wet and windy, especially this time of year. Wearing just a Mankini is madness, but remember Paul’s doing this to raise funds for a great cause.

Patients with renal failure often don’t get a chance to have a holiday. Getting away is almost impossible. A renal caravan gives those who are well enough the chance to have their dialysis sessions away from the hospital and still complete their three sessions each week. They can also enjoy a break at the coast with familiar staff members at hand to help when having their treatment. All the money raised will go towards the Derby & Burton Renal Unit holiday caravan fund in Wales.

With your generosity, we can help make a difference and raise a little towards the total goal of £75,000 needed to replace an ageing caravan in Wales. Please will you donate as much money as you can , every little helps towards this great cause. Follow this link to Paul’s Go Fund Me Page or checkout the QR - Code which will take you directly to the page.

Finally just so you know, we have Pete & Jackie at the shoot running the Sportrap, with all the very best in targets for you to enjoy and the chance to win the pot. 25 Bird Sportrap will cost you £10 a go. Visit the stand at the top corner of the carpark and remember there is no need to book, just turn up and pay your money then shoot.

Please will you like & share this post and follow us for all the latest news and results of our shoot and others.

Cheers for now

Reminder: This Sunday’s 75 Bird Clay Shoot

Date: 13 September 2026

BOOKINGS ARE OPEN

Our next 75 bird shoot is happening this Sunday, 13 September 2026. Thanks to our efficient booking system, you can expect minimal waits at the stands. Each team of six shooters is given a specific time slot, with 10 minutes allocated per stand. This ensures everyone has plenty of time to complete each stand. Remember, the first shooter to enter the cage can see the birds, while others can view those already shot. Please follow this procedure to avoid wasting clays, which are becoming more expensive.

Each cage has a board showing the clays set up, the number of pairs expected, and whether they are singles, pairs, or on report. If you encounter any issues with your stand, help is just a call away. Use the SOS radio at your stand or visit one of the other local stands with radios (note: two local stands near the office do not have radios). Our team will resolve any problems promptly.

Please arrive at stand 1 in plenty of time. Rushing won’t improve your shooting. If you can’t make it, let us know before the shoot so we can free up the space for another shooter.

Shoot Prices:

* Members: £24
* Non-Members: £28
* Juniors under 16 (accompanied by a paying adult): £15
* Membership: £45 per year

Note: Our Sportrap will not be available for this shoot. Pete and Jackie will return on 27 September. Please use Felt Wads Only; anyone using Plastic wads will be asked to leave.

For more information, contact us at 07929108619 or email [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Kevin
