And finally for this round of Club Champs recaps, we come to our mixed events! ❤️🎾

Our Mixed Tennis and Mixed Padel brought plenty of competitive matches, lots of laughs and a brilliant atmosphere around the courts.

The mixed events were also our contribution to the Derbyshire Rackets Marathon, with the entry fees from both events being donated to the charity. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved and helping us support such a great cause. 💙

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Club Champs evening without food! 🍔🎾

A massive thank you to Grant, Mark and Edwina for their help with the BBQ, and to Jo for managing the refreshments for our players, their families and friends, and all of our spectators. ❤️

It was brilliant to have so many people around the courts, whether playing, watching, cheering people on or simply enjoying the atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported the events and helped make our Saturday 2026 Club Champs events such a success. 🎾❤️

Mat & Ned had never even met before the day of the competition — but that certainly didn’t stop them from making a brilliant pairing! 🎾👏

The rain definitely didn’t keep anyone away! 🌧️🎾

We had a brilliant afternoon of women’s tennis as part of our Club Champs, with some great matches, plenty of support from the sidelines and lots of smiles despite the weather! ❤️

It was lovely to see two family pairings make it through to the final, with Beth & Charlie taking the title and Jane & Winnie finishing as runners-up! 👏🎾

🎾 CLUB CHAMPS — 16 & UNDER 🎾

Now that our Club Champs have wrapped up, we’re looking back at some of the brilliant events we had across the two weekends! ❤️🎾

First up, our 16 & Under events, which saw some great tennis across both the girls’ and boys’ competitions, with lots of competitive matches, brilliant rallies and, most importantly, plenty of fun along the way.

A huge well done to everyone who took part — it was brilliant to see our juniors competing, supporting each other and enjoying their tennis. ❤️

💷 Entry:
Members — £3 per event
Non-members — £5.50 per event

Remember, doubles can be entered individually and we can pair you up, so don’t worry if you don’t have a partner!

🎾 JUNIOR COACHING IS BACK! 🎾

We’re back on court tonight! 🙌

We hope all of our juniors have had a lovely summer and are feeling ready to get back on court, see their friends and get stuck back into their tennis! 🎾😊

We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone and getting the new coaching term underway.

Padel, Pickleball & Pizza Night! 🍕🎾

Our first Padel, Pickleball & Pizza Night was a huge success, with 16 teenagers, plenty of sunshine, LOTS of pizza and some brilliant padel and pickleball!

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, trying both sports, having a laugh and enjoying a really relaxed and social evening together. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our first one such a success — we’re already looking forward to the next one!

👀 And after the success of this one, Ellen is already planning the next Padel, Pickleball & Pizza Night… with EVEN MORE pizza! 🍕🍕🍕

🎾 JUNIOR COACHING 2026–2027 🎾

We’ve got a full programme of tennis and padel coaching running throughout the school year, with sessions for different ages and abilities.

👯 BRING A FRIEND – WEEK 2!
We know it can be tricky to organise friends coming along during the first week back, so we’re running our Bring a Friend offer in Week 2 of the first half term!

Current junior players can bring a friend along to their coaching session for a FREE trial, and the current player gets their session FREE too! 🎉

It’s a great chance to get back into coaching, then invite a friend along to join you! 💚

🏃‍♀️🎾 DERBYSHIRE RACKETS MARATHON — WE’RE TAKING PART! 🎾🏃‍♂️

You may have seen us mention the Derbyshire Rackets Marathon alongside our Club Champs, so we wanted to explain a little more about this fantastic event! 💙

The Derbyshire Rackets Marathon is bringing together 25+ clubs across Derbyshire for 18 hours of non-stop racket sport, all in aid of Cancer Research UK. Clubs across the county will be taking part throughout the day, helping to raise money while getting people together to play, support and celebrate racket sports. 🎾

And Church Broughton Tennis Club is proud to be one of them! ❤️

Our contribution will take place on Saturday 12th September from 7–9pm, when we’ll be hosting our Mixed Tennis Doubles and Mixed Padel Doubles Club Champs.

💙 Every entry fee from BOTH mixed events will be donated to the Derbyshire Rackets Marathon, as part of our club’s fundraising contribution.

So if you’re thinking about entering the Mixed Tennis or Mixed Padel Club Champs, this is a particularly good one to get involved in! You’ll get to play, enjoy the Club Champs, support the club AND help raise money for an amazing cause.

And you don’t have to be playing to be part of it! Come along, watch the matches, support the players and make a donation on the night. We’d love to have a great atmosphere around the courts and make our two hours a really special part of the marathon. 💙🎾
