Thank you Hamilton Pickleball Club for joining us in a friendly this weekend. 32 players completed 9 games and Hamilton took the trophy 🏆🙌🏟️.

Well done to everyone who took part on another hot afternoon 🥵 . It was done in the best spirit and finished with partners mixing in for a few games.

🎥 This week BBC Nottingham came to film us for the BBC Radio Nottingham as we’ve made the last four and the final, having been nominated by two of our members; both of whom are deaf.

📺 The film will go out on the BBC East Midlands Today programme TODAY and the awards are in September. 🏆

🤗 Thanks to Didi and Tracey for the nomination, the team who came along, those who took part in the filming and played on the day - as well as to Angela Rafferty who interviewed us with her camera man.

It was a proud moment yesterday taking our club to a first tournament with a team of six players in Solihull. We had three pairs play: Rick and James and Sally and Sarah in the 3.0 Open Play. And Geth and James H in the 3.5 mens.

🏓 It was a friendly, well organised event and everyone enjoyed it. Sarah and Sally had some varied matches wining and losing some in equal measure and James and Rick ended up 4/16 which is an amazing result - just missing out on bronze with a close result losing 13/15.

🤗 Well done all and I’m so glad you enjoyed it - which is the main thing! Plus we got back in time for the Wimbledon final. 🎾

🎥 What a great morning being interviewed by BBC Nottingham for the having been nominated by our amazing pickleball members.

⭐️ We were made to feel pretty special by the team including , Matt and DJ Sparky. 📻

I got to chat with Angela Rafferty from BBC Nottingham Sport about pickleball, open water swimming and kids doing A levels. And I got to sit in the fantastic Anne Davies presenting chair.

A great couple of TPC tournaments this weekend, starting with a more advanced session this Friday evening. 🥇🥈Well done to Steve Coates and JP who beat alice clarke and Dmitri by one point! And to Anna Ruddick and Jake taking bronze 🥉

🏆 Saturday morning was great fun for our players to give them more competitive play and progress to some tournaments. Well done to Heather who has just moved across from tennis. You smashed it with the lovely Angelika taking gold 🥇. Congrats Andrea and Phil taking silver 🙌🥈 and to Rachel (thanks for your help with the spreadsheet) and to the amazing on court skills from Ron taking bronze! 🥉

A great group of Intermediate players today and, as Tricia said, I felt like, ‘a proud mama’ with the style of play that went on, with lots of d***s and fast play at the net. Great match play team. 🙌

🏓 Sally also ran her coached session for those wanting to improve their strokes, court position and gameplay. Well done to those who played for three hours!!
