* Regular nappies are not allowed in the pool.
* Use approved swim nappies.
* Change nappies in the changing area, not poolside.

Ava’s SUCCESS

A huge congratulations to AVA on her incredible swimming journey with us here at 4Strokes! Ava first joined our lessons at just 3 years old, taking her very first splashes in the pool with confidence and enthusiasm. Through years of dedication, hard work, and determination, she has now achieved her GOLD certificate — an amazing milestone and a true reflection of her commitment and progress. We are so proud to have been part of Ava’s swimming journey and can’t wait to see what she achieves next! 😍🤩💕

Meet the Team - Rachel

Say HELLO 👋🏼 to Rachel — or Rach, or Miss Rachel as the little ones call her! Rach joined the 4Strokes family around 18 months ago, bringing a background in teaching and events management with her. We’re so glad she did!

🏊 What inspired you to become a swimming instructor?
I love being in water and have always loved to swim. I really enjoy teaching too, so mixing both together was a no-brainer!

🏊 What’s your favourite memory from teaching swimming lessons?
My first lesson after qualifying — I was absolutely petrified! Will I do it right? Will they like me? What if I forget something? But it was so much fun, the kids were amazing, and I loved every second! 😊

🏊 If you could swim anywhere in the world, where would it be?
The Maldives — crystal waters and paradise moments. 🏝️🍹

🏊 What’s your go-to advice for nervous beginners?
Relax and enjoy the water — it’s there to enjoy, not fear. We’re here to guide and support you through this new life skill. Have fun! 🤩

🏊 What do you enjoy most about being part of this team?
THIS TEAM is just one of a kind 🫶🏼 — everyone is family orientated, we enjoy each other’s company, we can have a laugh and support each other. That’s pretty rare in a large team. I’m very lucky!

🏊 Do you have a favourite aquatic animal?
Turtles 🐢 and dolphins 🐬 — both beautiful animals.

🏊 What’s a fun fact most people wouldn’t guess about you?
I broke my nose 👃🏼 doing a handstand in a pool on holiday in 2005 — now one nostril is shaped like an apostrophe! 😂 Who does that?! I also survived a tsunami warning ⚠️ in the Dominican Republic after the Haiti earthquake in 2010 — long story, but we made it!

🏊 What’s your proudest achievement in swimming?
That moment when something just clicks for a swimmer and they’re off — there are too many to name just one! I’m proud of every single learner and everything they’ve achieved and have yet to come. 🏊

🏊 If you could teach a famous person to swim, who would it be?
Easy — Daniel Craig. Or should I say… James. James Bond. 😏

🏊 What’s your favourite post-swim snack?
A TWIX and a cuppa — then a G&T when I get home! 😜💕

To all our 4strokes family, we’ve had a lot of new faces join us recently at our Academy and we would like to kindly remind all our parents and guardians of the following:

Photography & Video Recording Policy
1. General Prohibition
The use of all photography and video recording devices is strictly prohibited in the following areas:
* Poolside
* In the swimming pool
* Changing rooms, showers, and toilets
* Spectator/seating areas overlooking the pool
This includes (but is not limited to):
* Mobile phones
* Tablets
* Cameras (digital or film)
* Action cameras (e.g. GoPros)
* Smart glasses or wearable recording devices

2. Purpose of the Policy
This rule is in place to:
* Protect the privacy and dignity of all customers
* Safeguard children and vulnerable individuals
* Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all users

3. Limited Exceptions
Photography or filming may only take place if:
* Prior written approval has been granted by management
* All individuals being recorded have given explicit consent (or parental/guardian consent for under 18s)
* The activity is supervised by authorised staff
Approved uses may include:
* Official business marketing
* Organised events or competitions
* Swimming lessons (only where expressly authorised)

4. Signage & Awareness
* Clear signage will be displayed throughout the premises
* Entry to the facility constitutes acceptance of this policy
