Phew! What a weekend at the Maritime Festival! ⚓️
We’re so grateful to have been part of such a fantastic celebration in our wonderful city. A huge thank you to the Loughs Agency and the Foyle Maritime Festival organisers for putting together such an incredible event.
We loved welcoming so many people to our erg competition and Learn to Row sessions, giving everyone the chance to get involved both on and off the water. We hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did!
Thank you to everyone who came along, took part, and supported us. And a special thank you to all of our club members and volunteers who gave their time and energy to make it all happen – we couldn’t have done it without you. 💙🚣

Learn to row with City of Derry Boating Club in these instructor-led rowing sessions for absolute beginners, where participants can try out rowing in crew boats on the River Foyle. BOOK YOUR TICKET HERE: www.tickettailor.com/events/loughsagency/2187140 💙
Activities begin with a short land-based introduction at our boathouse in Prehen. When you’ve got the basics, your rowing boat will launch from a new state of the art pontoon on the riverbank at the club. From there, you will be taking part in a guided on-water rowing experience as part of a small crew, where you can enjoy the beautiful river scenery, and learn a new skill. 🚣♀️

A great day at the Belfast Sprint Regatta! Thanks to Belfast Rowing Club for putting on a brilliant event.
Congratulations to all crews, with special shout-outs to Óisín for winning both the Women’s Masters and Senior Single Sprints, and to Gaetano & Ray for claiming victory in the Men’s Masters Double.
As if that wasn’t enough, Óisín and Gaetano still had enough left in the tank to tackle BRC’s 250m erg challenge afterwards 🤯💪🚣♂️🏆

The club would like to take a moment to give a massive shoutout and thank you to Eglinton Cricket Club for the opportunity to put our brains to the test while raising funds for our club in the process!
It’s fair to say we were probably more successful with the fundraising than the quizzing side of things … we may need to do a bit of studying before the next one! 😂
If you’re free on a Tuesday night, we’d highly recommend heading along. They host a fantastic quiz with a great group of people, and money raised goes towards supporting schools, clubs, and charities in and around the area. ✨
We’ll definitely be back to show our support again! The funds raised will help us carry out some much-needed equipment renovations and updating some outdated equipment , we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
Thanks again for having us and allowing us to be part of such a brilliant few week 💙

10 boats packed up for one of the club’s biggest entries this year, with 13 rowers making the trip. It was an early start for a fantastic weekend in Sligo, kicking off the first sprints of the season. The water conditions were character-building, testing crews from the first race to the last, but spirits stayed high throughout, helped by sunshine and great company.
Well done to all our rowers and the support crew who made it happen, and a huge thank you to the Sligo Rowing Club for their warm hospitality and for delivering such a well-run and enjoyable event.

A foggy start for our AM rowers gave way to a stunning sunset for our PM crews. You know spring is in the air when Gaetano’s smiling… longer days mean more miles on the water. Not a bad way to spend your Thursdays 🥰
