Congratulations to JJ Conwell City of Derry and Jimmy Mc Cutcheon Omagh who progressed to the 1/4 finals on Thursday 10th September of the Jim Logan memorial competition.
Noel Hagan Brooke park received a walk over and also qualifies.
On a terrible night of weather I wish to thank all those who came as spectators to support the players it’s much appreciated.
Brooke Park completed their league season last night with a 6v1 defeat away to Brookgreen in Coleraine.
It’s been a tough year for the club going through transitional phase with a lot of novice new members to be welcomed who will have gained good experience this year of competitive bowls.
The season comes to a close on Sunday 20th September with the final of the Jim Logan pairs taking place on Friday 18th @ 6.45pm to which everyone is welcome to attend followed by a buffet tea in the clubhouse afterwards.
Brooke park travel to Coleraine this Wednesday night to play Brookgreen in there final game of the season.
A minimum five points is required to leave Brookgreen needing seven points in their final game to overtake Brooke park in the league.
Comon the park 👍👍
We must bring to this attention of all bowlers the damage being done to Brooke park bowling green by players not delivering the bowl properly both club members and visitors and therefore leaving pitch marks on the green. It’s the worst we have seen it in 40 years and needs to addressed. It takes seconds to damage the green and months to repair. We are very proud of our green as are most visitors and we do not wish to have to approach players and ask them to stop playing if damaging the green. There’s a difference between throwing a bowl and delivering a bowl, so please we ask deliver the bowl don’t just throw it.
Brooke park travel to near neighbours Roe Vally tonight to fulfill last weeks postponed fixture. As the season comes to a close with only three games remaining getting as many points as possible at this stage will go towards remaining in division 2 of the NIPBA league.
Comon the park 👍👍💪💪💪💪
