We will be holding registration evenings in 𝗙𝗼𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮 (𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺) for 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆. These will be held on 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 and 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, between 𝟱.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 – 𝟳.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 .

We would encourage everyone to attend to sign up and pay for their membership ahead of our club lessons commencing on 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 and 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀 . Swimmers are reminded to remain in the same session that they attended at the end of June 2026.

𝗙𝗲𝗲𝘀
There will be 2 payments of £70, payable in September (registration night) and at the end of January or a one-off payment of £130 paid at the start of the year. Subsequent children from 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 will be discounted £5 per child, per term. Cash and card payments are accepted.

𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁
Please note we will not be addressing the waiting list for a number of weeks while we assess returning numbers. Once we are in a position to reopen the list we will post all details on our page.

We are still following up on some outstanding fees from last year. Text messages are being sent out to anyone who our records show are not up to date. Please ensure you respond to guarantee your place for this coming season. If fees are outstanding from last year you will be asked to join the waiting list once it reopens.

The Inch Mile Swim was held yesterday, congratulations to senior squad members Eimhear who retained the award for 1st Female in wetsuit category and Aaron who took 2nd Male in wetsuit category. Well done to our former head coach Léan who took 2nd Female in skins category.

⚫️🟡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 & 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 🟡⚫️

It was a real mixed bag of emotions last week for our squad members at the Irish Summer National Youth & Senior Championships

🏊‍♂️Buadan
Unfortunately, Buadan had to withdraw before the competition started due to an injury.

🏊Grace
Grace competed in the first 2 days of events and qualified for the A finals in both the 200m Fly and 200m Free. However she was very unwell throughout and was forced to withdraw from the rest of the competition.

🏊Mollie
Mollie started her events by qualifying for the B finals in both the 200m Free and the 200m Breast. Her PB in the 50m Free seen her qualify for the A final and she also reached the B final in the 100m Fly on the same day. Thursday seen Mollie achieve a 2 sec PB in her 50m Back and reached the final of the 100m Free getting a new PB in the process. With 3 more events to swim, she pulled of another PB in the final of the 50m Fly.

🏊Katie
Katie had a fantastic 4 sec PB in the 200m Breast event reaching the final where she took another sec off. Katie’s other event was the 50m Breast where she narrowly missed out on a PB.

🏊Eimhear
Eimhear achieved an impressive 3 sec PB in her 200m Back and won a gold award for the highest % improvement on an entry time for the event. She also got a 2 sec PB in her 100m Back, qualifying for the final.

We are so disappointed for Grace and Buadan who had worked so hard all year, and we hope they both get well soon. Congratulations to all 5 of you for achieving the qualifying standards for a national event and the accomplishments in the pool in Dublin 👏

Once again, a massive shout out to our head coach Jimmy. Having just spent 4 days in Limerick, he was back on the road again to support our athletes in Dublin, an extremely long and tiring few weeks for him. From all the swimmers and the club, thank you, we are very grateful for your time and dedication 🖤💛

After a long season we are immensely proud of the successes of all our swimmers throughout the year, we hope you enjoy the next few weeks of rest before we go again in September.

Tomorrow sees the start of the Irish Summer National Youth & Senior Championships in Dublin. Wishing our 5 swimmers Katie, Eimhear, Mollie, Grace and Buadan (missing from photo) the very best of luck as they represent the club at this prestige event. 🖤💛

What an amazing 4 days of swimming these 8 had at the Irish Summer National Age Groups in Limerick. Everyone of them bringing home new pb's, 32 in total 👏 they also reached 17 finals 👏 and a massive congratulations to

🏊🏻‍♀️ Molly our Irish National Championship medal winner taking gold in the 200m Free 🥇 she also won silver in the 200m Fly, 400m Free and 400 IM 🥈🥈🥈 as well as bronze in the 100m Fly 🥉

We also had outstanding performances from our relay teams
⚫🟡 Mixed 4 x 100 Medley - Paul, Oisin, Molly and Maria finished 7th out of 29 teams
⚫🟡 Girls 4 X 100 Free - Hannah, Angela, Molly and Maria finished 6th out of 23 teams

5th out of 29 teams.

To our head coach Jimmy, we are hugely appreciative of your time given to support our swimmers at this event. This is 4 longs days, but your dedication and advice is pivotal to their success and we know how grateful they are to have you there encouraging them 🖤💛

On Saturday, our squads got together to celebrate the end of a remarkable year. Both in and out of the pool, everyone has been working incredibly hard and we have made huge strides in advancing the club.

We are so proud of our swimmers who have had an amazing year, smashing pb’s, winning medals, creating memories and forging friendships. This year we also have 10 swimmers who made the qualifying standard for the Irish Summer National Age Groups in Limerick and 5 swimmers qualifying for the Irish Summer National Youth and Senior Championships in Dublin, all to be held in July.

As always, we are indebted to our coaches and teachers, for the endless hours they pour into our young athletes. On top of the hours at poolside, there is the time taken to design training sets as well as analysing and reporting. This also extends to our Learn to Swim programme, where our teachers give up their time every week to ensure we can continue to offer our services to your children.

Behind the scenes the committee continue to work to advance the club. This year they have started to work on a 5-year Development Plan and as part of this, reached out to the parents/public for feedback on the club and will make strides to implement changes in line with the results.

During Saturday we presented our annual awards, massive congratulations to our winners

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗶𝗺 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆
Presented every year to the swimmer who was our top performer at the Ulster Age Group Championships. This year our winner was Grace, who had a phenomenal competition, winning silver in the 200m Free, 200m Fly and 200m IM, bronze in the 100m Free and became Ulster Champion in the 400m IM. A hugely deserved winner, Grace’s dedication has certainly paid off.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗰𝗔𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱
This is awarded to our ‘Swimmer of the Year’ and for 25-26 it was presented to Maria. Maria has had an unbelievable year, achieving fantastic times as the year progressed and winning numerous medals, she has also qualified for the Irish Summer Nationals.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗽
Acknowledging the ‘Spirit of the Club’ this year the cup was conferred to our club Chairman Eugene Hillick. Unfortunately, Eugene wasn’t able to attend on the day, but his daughter Pauline and grandson Oisin accepted it on his behalf. It is fair to say that Eugene has been a godsend to the club. A former President of Swim Ireland, he came in with a wealth of knowledge and has been the driving force in progressing our club. We want to recognise the work he continually puts in behind closed doors, and we are hugely appreciative and grateful for everything he does.

With the exception of those who continue to train for competitions this month, we are now on a well-deserved summer break, we hope you all enjoy your time off.
