What an incredible achievement for our very own Katherine Rednall! 👏

Following her gold medal win at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, Katherine has rocketed from 14th place all the way up to 2nd in the World Series rankings! 🚀

She now sits just 41 points behind Malaysia’s Saroji at the top of the rankings 💪

We couldn’t be prouder of Katherine and everything she continues to achieve on the world stage. Her dedication and determination is truly paying off!

Last Thursday saw the final Thursday Summer Social of 2026, with winners this week of Steve and Nicky.

Summer Socials have been a big part of the quieter indoor Summer season, and will be back in 2027 - and we can already hear Gamesmaster Brian, and Quizmaster Neil's devious little brains ticking... what will they manage to devise in the next 8 months????

We look forward to finding out.

Although there is no Summer Social tonight, the Club is still open, with rinks bookable for friendly games, practice, or even rescheduling of 2026/27 games you know won't fit into your busy diaries on their diarised calendar date... just make sure the scheduled date is highlighted on the scorecard and marked in the diary please, and the Secretary notified, so the tables are updated correctly. The next 7 days are a great opportunity for you to reschedule evening matches early, as from next Tuesday, there are very few evening rinks available, until the Christmas period, and then not till Spring.

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting the Ladies of Harleston Ladies Circle in their first BOWLS NIGHT.

A fun evening was had by all our volunteers, as the Ladies were introduced to the basics of bowls, and we are pretty sure the Ladies enjoyed themselves too!!.

We look forward to hostingvthem again.

So this morning saw the final 4 matches in our Counties League, marking the end of our Indoor Summer Season.
Please join with us in congratulating Car League winner JUKE, and Counties League winners, KENT.

Indoor winter leagues start next month, and friendlies, roll ups, coaching and private bookings fill up this month. Rink schedule available in the Club, plenty of spaces left for members old and new to book

Bit of advance notice for this event, from the Diss Family History group, with the event being held in our function room on Friday, Oct 2nd.

Please arrive for 7pm, for a 7.30 start.
Cost - £5 per person, payable on the door.

Whilst many of you may be familiar with the cinematic recordings of these events, this is your chance to find out where History and Hollywood concur or diverge.

Full Bar available. Free Parking. Raffle on the evening.
