Last weekend was our final weekend of cricket, with the juniors’ awards evening on Friday, followed by a successful charity match on Saturday.

Kindly organised by the brilliant Jeannie Pritchard, daughter of long-term DCC member Robin Pritchard — a punchy left-hander from the ’80s and ’90s. Jeannie and her friends raised an amazing £1,200 for Sporting Memories, a national charity supporting people living with dementia and loneliness 👏🏽

It’s great to see the community of the club stretching beyond our league sides, with wonderful fundraisers like this.

It’s sadly time to put away the covers and sight screens, as the season has come to an end. However, we do have a few social occasions planned to bring the ling community together throughout the off-season. Stay tuned.

Wow. What an end to an incredible season at DCC. An exceptional summer for the 1st XI, securing promotion and narrowly missing out on the league title, congratulations to Eastbourne on their success. The 2s produced a solid season following promotion last season with many highlights, none more so than the skipper’s final day 100 and Olly Nolan’s 5fer. A double win for the Ling, and promotion for the 1s🔥⬆️

It was a CharlieXCharlie operation for the first team, winning by 5 wickets with milk boy on 89no and Chugs on 62. A brilliant partnership to seal promotion and keep us on top of the league with 2 to play.

The 2nd XI regained the winning thread against Ardingly, despite a bit of a late scare meaning the young lads had to steady the ship and see us home. Rob Kemp stole the show with 3-28 followed by a jazzy 40.

We’re on the home run now lads. Up the Ling 💚💛

With the exciting news that 2022’s Aussie, Stevo, is returning to Ditchling for Cricket Week, we thought we’d take a look back at all our Aussie legends who have graced the club.

Rilo, Jacko, JT and Tom Carty all left their mark on the club in different ways. All brilliant players, all top blokes, just a shame they’re all Aussie.
