Bore Day, good morning and welcome to the introduction for tomorrow's class, which will be at the Free Library at 10:00 in Dolgellau... Alongside our standard Hatha Yoga flow practise, the core will centre itself in verse 3 and 4 of the yoga sutures of Patanjali.
These two verses provide a very deep insight towards our abilities, through yoga (and of course stilling the mind) to become one with the soul through the practise of Yoga.
Secondly, how the mind can regain control and attach itself to sensory objects outside of ourselves as well as thought rumination of thoughts and memories, etc.
Personally, I believe it would be unrealistic to expect any of us to remain in a constant state of merger with the soul through Yoga, after all, nothing would get done yet, but we do have this opportunity each day if only for 10 minutes or so to touch in to that very sacred, peaceful and beautiful place.
This can provide the necessary foundation to build a realistically pleasant and happy day.
It's simply an exercise in routine and understanding that the mind can be a terrible master yet also a beautiful slave, it's up to us.
Trapped or free?
I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Have a great Thursday. All the best Graeme.
