A quick reminder about my cancellation policy
After another five last-minute cancellations this week, I’ve now had 20 cancellations in the space of two weeks. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and nobody cancels without a reason. But when a session is cancelled at short notice, it often means I can’t offer that time to someone else, and I lose the income from that hour.
I’ve tried to be flexible, but the financial impact has become difficult to manage. From now on, I’ll need to apply my 24-hour cancellation policy consistently and reschedule sessions where needed.
Cancellations for reasons such as work, childcare, illness, traffic or other plans changing will still be subject to the policy when they’re made at short notice. The only exception will be a genuine emergency.
If you let me know at least 24 hours in advance, I’ll do my best to fill your session slot, and you won’t be charged.
I know it can feel frustrating to lose money when plans change. For example, if you bought a concert ticket and then couldn’t go because you were unwell or had to work, you might not be able to get your money back. Personal training sessions are similar: that time has been set aside for you, and short-notice cancellations can leave me unable to fill the slot.
I know this may feel strict, and I’m sorry to keep having to raise it. I value every one of my clients and understand that unexpected things happen. At the same time, I’m self-employed, and I need to protect my time and income so I can keep my business running and support my family.
Thanks for understanding and helping me make the policy fair and workable for everyone.
