The curtains have finally closed at Bentley Colliery Cricket Club, with no more pitches required we now turn to our off season jobs.

Thanks go out to our voluntary groundstaff and also to Josh Botham for his help on scarifying the pitch once again for us.

This year we saw our old artificial wicket get replaced thanks to CISWO. We thank them for their generosity and support. Watch the video in their post and see what it means to our club.

And that’s a wrap -

What a year the club has had, I don’t think anybody could have predicted this years success.

Doncaster Infirmary Evening Cricket League Div 2 title
Pontefract District Cricket League-Updated Div 2 title

Two titles in a year is absolutely crazy and that doesn’t even include our success with our inaugural Sixes tournament and our amazing Memorial Day celebrations.

So thank you all to all our players, supporters, coaches and sponsors. Without you all we wouldn’t have had a club.

So here’s to next year, VIVA LA BENTLEY!!

Match day -

The final match day is here, 22 weeks, 5 and a half months all comes down to today. 16 points required can the lads get us over the line and see us win our first bit of Saturday silverware in 15 years.

If you can, support the lads and give them the backing that they need.

Updates to follow throughout the day,

Viva la Bentley!!!

HERE WE GO

The final game of the season, one final win and the league title is ours. We go into this game with a 1 point advantage over second place Ryhill & Havercroft Cricket Club, a team who have pushed us all the way.

A couple changes to last week, we see L. Sutton and N. Smith enter the team in the hope of securing the full 16 points.

So if you can, come and back the lads, celebrate every wicket, every run and help bring home the title.

Mark Hughes Memorial Day

Despite a worrying forecast it won’t be stopping our Memorial Day. So come on down from 1pm and maybe we can see old Bentley vs new Bentley in a short blast stint.

See you all there
