Libra Races

A great afternoon out with the Libra Races team on Friday as we headed to Doncaster Sheffield Airport for a recce of the Run A Way 10K course! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✈️

It was fantastic to check out the route, take in the unique surroundings, and get excited for race day. Whether you're chasing a PB or just looking forward to a memorable run on the airport runway, it's shaping up to be an incredible event!

We're pleased to confirm the 10k race prize categories for Run A Way 10k and Fun Run.

1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female
1st under 18 male and female
1st 18 - 39 male and female
1st vet 40 male and female
1st vet 50 male and female
1st vet 60 male and female
1st vet 70 male and female

One prize only per person. 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall on gun time. Age categories on chip time.

As we get ready to open entries for Run A Way 10k and Fun Run at 9 am Friday 10 July 2026, here are just a few points we want to make you aware of if you are planning to enter.

There's a lot of interest in the race and so we do anticipate places to go quickly. We have set an initial limit on numbers and when all these places go the system will open up a waiting list. If any runners are refunded due to injuries etc then any available places will be offered to people on that waiting list. Judging by Run the Runway, if there are any this is likely to only be a small number.

If we can release any more places we will do but please be aware we do have to have a limit on numbers to be able to provide the best experience we can for everyone.

We are currently finalising plans for an additional element in the event. This is something that will add to the experience and makes it appropriate for spectators too. Runners will be able to add a limited number of spectator tickets to their booking. Children aged under 14 spectating wont need a ticket but ages 14 and over and adults will. All proceeds from these spectator tickets will go to charity. More about this soon.

Due to the additional element we have to change the start time of the 10k. This will now start at 5.30pm, the fun run will stay at 4.30pm.

As always, please be aware of all the bots and scammers offering tickets and random Facebook groups popping up and re-using our content. We definitely got fed up of seeing them in the run up to Run the Runway. Do not trust the entry links on these groups as they are not connected to us, though like to claim they are!

Results are now online - We cant do live results due to lack of Internet signal in the woods so I load the husband up with other jobs, Lead Runner for the Fun Run, Sweep for the Fun Run and then Sweep for the 5 mile and now hes finished and home to sort out the results - https://sporthive.com/events/s/bc4c7c24-b1dc-47e4-9ccc-731cf19ae94c

A few people suffered in the heat and finished early and or had a number swap at registration, any errors can be easily sorted.
