The Y3/4 bragging rights go to Kirk Smeaton C of E Primary School!

Another fantastic afternoon of football this afternoon at Doncaster Knights & Doncaster Knights Foundation, as we welcomed over 80 children to take part in our Y3/4 Football Competition!

Some excellent football, brilliant sportsmanship and a whole load of resilience shown throughout the afternoon, led to an eventual final between Kirk Smeaton C of E Primary School and Kirk Sandall Juniors, with the former taking home the trophy by the narrowest of margins in a penalty shootout.

Final Standings:

🏆 Kirk Smeaton C of E Primary School
🥈 Kirk Sandall Junior School
🥉 Owston Park Primary PE
4️⃣ Green Top School
5️⃣ Norton Junior School
6️⃣ Balby Central Primary Academy
7️⃣ Carcroft Primary School
8️⃣ Plover School

A big thank you once again to Castle Park, the staff who bring the children to the event and of course to the fantastic parents and carers who turned up in force today to support their respective schools! It was great to have so many of you there 👏🏻

A final thank you to Land + Water Plant Hire who have not only provided sponsorship to keep costs down, but also some goody bags for every single LSY competition!

Up next, we welcome the KS1 cohort! Can Kirk Smeaton C of E Primary School go back to back, or will we have another new set of champions?!

See you next Thursday! 💜
