Congratulations to Deborah Bell on successfully passing her grading to achieve 2nd dan at the biannual weekend residential course in Pontesbury, near Shrewsbury.

The grading was overseen by a panel of senior instructors, headed by Kazoku Kai founder and Chief Instructor sensei Derek Ridgway 10th dan (centre).

Certificates for those who passed their grading this weekend will be formally presented at the annual Kazoku Kai Christmas Basho in late November.

I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating Debs, whose efforts over the last year or so have resulted in an excellent grading score.

Keep your eyes on this page in three years when Debs will be hopefully grading for her 3rd dan!

Hi all,

With the high temperature warnings, and the fact that the hall has limited ventilation, there will be no training tomorrow evening.

Please could you share this message or let anyone you know who might not see it know.

The upcoming grading will also be postponed a short period to ensure all students have the opportunity to prepare and be ready for their exam.
