Huge congratulations to our Junior Chair and tennis coach, Claire Frewer, who won the Ladies’ Over 50s Doubles title at her first World Tennis Masters event at St George’s Hill this summer. 🎾🏆

Claire teamed up with Gill Thompson to claim the title on her Masters debut.

A brilliant achievement, and Claire is already keen to compete in more events. Congratulations, Claire and Gill!

🍺 New week, new beer… If you needed another reason to linger in the clubhouse after a game, there’s a different beer on the bar to discover each week.

Next up is Burning Sky Plateau Pale Ale, brewed at a farmhouse brewery in the South Downs. Described as crisp, zesty and refreshing, it sounds like a pretty good post-match option to us.

☀️ The sun was shining, the tennis was outstanding and the club was buzzing from first serve to the final trophy presentation.

A huge well done to all our finalists and winners and thank you to everyone who came along to support, volunteer and help make Finals Day such a success.

We can't wait to do it all again next year. 🎾

☀️ If you're heading to the club over the next few days, please take extra care in the hot weather.

💧 Stay hydrated - drink regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🧴 Wear SPF 30+ and reapply regularly throughout the day.
🧢 Wear a hat and sunglasses when playing outdoors.
🌳 Take regular breaks in the shade and pace yourself.
🌅 If possible, avoid playing outdoors during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm).
🥵 Squash courts can become particularly warm during hot weather, so take extra care indoors too.
⚠️ If you feel dizzy, unwell or overly tired, stop playing and seek assistance.

Most importantly, use common sense and listen to your body.

Enjoy your tennis and squash and stay safe in the heat. ☀️🎾

🎾 Finals Day is almost here!

Join us on Saturday, 27th June for the DLTSC Tennis Tournament Finals Day, one of the highlights of the club calendar!

From our youngest junior players to our veteran competitors, finalists will be battling it out across six courts throughout the day in what promises to be a fantastic showcase of tennis.

🔥 The BBQ will be sizzling
🍻 The bar will be open
🍰 Free afternoon tea and cakes will be available

Whether you're coming along to support friends and family, cheer on the finalists, or just enjoy the atmosphere, we’d love to see you there. 🎾☀️

🎾 The inaugural Sandy Thornton Memorial Tournament recently brought members together for a wonderful day of tennis in memory of a much-loved member of the club.

Congratulations to cup winners Janet Sutherland and Maurice Cranfield, and to runners-up Carmen Schmidt and Rachel Studholme.

Paul Thornton presented Thornton chocolates to the winners, while all participants and organisers enjoyed strawberries and cream.
A wonderful day and a fitting tribute to Sandy.
