AIMEE’S HIGHLAND TRIP INSPIRED SUNRISE PAINTING - Royal Dornoch

American landscape artist Aimee Smith’s latest painting of Royal Dornoch Golf Club sold within 24 hours of applying the finishing touches. Hard on the heels of capturing the famous 14th hole, named “Foxy,” Nashville-based Aimee’s “Sunrise at Royal Dornoch” immediately caught the eye of a buyer. A limited edition giclee print will be released on November 25.

ROSS BONDS BEING CELEBRATED AT DORNOCH AND PINEHURST - Royal Dornoch

We are teaming-up with “The Cradle of American Golf” to celebrate the 150th anniversary of legendary course architect Donald Ross on November 23.

The one-time club professional and greenkeeper left Scotland’s shores for a new life in the USA in 1899.

Ross, whose childhood home in Dornoch’s St Gilbert Street is a place of pilgrimage for American golfers, went on to design more than 400 golf courses in North America.

FINAL PIECE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP JIGSAW - Royal Dornoch

Hard on the heels of major improvements to the 7th hole on the Championship Course, the greenkeeping team and renowned UK architects Mackenzie and Ebert have turned their attention to “Dunrobin,” the 434-yard Par 4 8th hole.

Hundreds of tons of gorse and soil are being removed to open up the breath-taking views of 1302-foot Ben Bhraggie which generations of golfers previously enjoyed.

ROYAL DORNOCH PLANS TO MARK THE DEATH OF THE QUEEN - Royal Dornoch

The historic links and clubhouse facilities at Royal Dornoch Golf Club will close on Monday, September 19 to mark the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Council of Management made the decision to close on the day of the funeral to allow members and staff to pay their own respects to the longest-serving monarch in British history.

Golf will continue as normal on the Sunday and resume on the Tuesday morning following the State Funeral.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Our sincere thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

There was great praise for the Struie Course during The R&A Women’s and Men’s Senior Amateur Championship in July. As you'll see in the view down the 15th hole, it's still in great shape!
