DCC are proud to invite all members and friends to celebrate Richard Adams’ 50 years of service to the club. Richard has served in almost every role within the club, from 1st XI Captain to Chairman, and more recently Head Groundsman and Club President. Many of you have seen Richard on the mower daily, making the grounds look as good as they do!
We actively encourage all members and friends of Richard to attend this celebration.
The 2/3s are at home (12:30PM starts), 1s and 4s are both away but local.

A record breaking day from our Women’s 1st XI saw a ridiculous total of 417 set. A returning Harriet Leach set the precedent with a quick-fire 60, opening with Gabby Basketter who went on to make 106. Captain Liz Russell then selflessly helped her teammates by smashing it to mid wicket, allowing a massive partnership between new signing Jess Couser (98) and Nat Samuels (100*) of 197. Dixon then took the opposition apart, with figures of 3.4-1-11-5. An excellent team performance saw DCC winning by 348 runs, another record for the club! Great work ladies💙💛

GW2 - RIDGEWASH!!!
1s - New signing Adam Hines and Ed Thompson took four early wickets in 3 overs. Ed Chappell then took a crucial wicket, breaking a 67 run partnership. Perry Derrick put Moseley under pressure, taking two in quick succession, closely followed by Adam taking the final two in 3 balls. Nabeel, overseas Nivi and Dani got us off to a steady start however three quick wickets brought Captain Joe Dodd and MOTM Ed Thompson to the crease, Ed took the game to Moseley, scoring 81 off 62 with a partnership with Joe of 110 (Joe 31*) before Imaad Mahmood finished the game with back to back boundaries. 1st XI won by 6 wickets
2s - An opening partnership of club veteran Grant Harrison and Joe Craven got the 2s off to a good start, a difficult pitch saw noone bar the openers score more than 10, leaving them 126 AO. Joe Rastrick held his end for 12 overs, followed by Rupi taking a game changing 5fer and a crucial run out! Musty cleaned up the tail with 2 quick fire wickets to guide the 2s to an improbable victory!
3s - We got to 62-3 in the 16th over before a crucial knock from skipper Jonty Rhodes (55 (62)) with an excellent effort down the order with Anisha Patel and Israr Shirzad putting on a 45 run partnership as an 8th wicket stand. George and Ibrar then took 6 between them in the first 18 overs before Israr and Anisha closed the game out.

Great effort all!

Please keep off the grass...

Our volunteer grounds team give an enormous amount of their own time preparing our pitches all year round, and particularly now in preparation for the new cricket season.

Please help them by recognising that the Broadacre grounds are not public recreation areas, short cuts between walking routes or dog exercising areas. The public footpath runs along the bottom end of the ground by the fence - please keep to it and help us to make the facilities the best they can be for playing cricket.
