We are delighted to share that DCC quick bowler, Shayan Alam has been selected on Warwickshire’s Academy for the coming season. Shay joined us before the 2026 season and despite battling an injury at the start of the year, has proved to be an excellent fit, taking some crucial wickets across the season, including an excellent spell of rapid bowling vs Barnt Green. We are looking forward to seeing Shayan’s development with the academy over the winter transferring into poles next season! Congratulations, Shayan!

On the back of his excellent 2nd XI debut for warwickshireccc, we are pleased to share that Ayan Khan has been selected for Warwickshire’s Academy. AK has gone all the way through the WCCC pathway from U10 to one of the prestigious Academy places, alongside all the DCC age groups and senior teams. This opportunity gives Ayan more coaching contact time at Warwickshire, alongside playing for DCC & Bromsgrove School. Congratulations, Ayan - not a bad way to celebrate your 17th Birthday!

We look forward to seeing Grant down on the patio with a b**r on Saturdays ahead! Thank you, Grant! 💙💛

An incredible season from our Number 3, Dani Khan, saw him score a 1005 BDPCL Divison 1 runs, averaging a ridiculous 55.83. DK scored 3 tons and 7 half centuries, with 134 boundaries (30 6s!). Dani is the youngest player to score 1000 runs in today’s Birmingham League and is only the 19th player to do so. Dani joined us at 16 and has been our leading run scorer since joining and at only 21 years old, has already scored 5476 senior league runs. We cannot wait to see Dani continue to score runs and build upon this years efforts. Congratulations Dani & enjoy the winter!
