What a game down at Grange Road.
The most Sunday league game you’d likely see all season😂

With Rushmere folding we had a week off and played New Forest Rangers b2b after managing to get to March before playing each other… some season🔥
This time though, we had some familiar faces back in the side.

Same as the previous game had more of the ball and created the better chances in the first half. Some very poor moments in the opening 30 mins we gifted the visitors a few goals. The game was stopped for 5 minutes as a New Forest player had to go hospital after landing awkwardly on his elbow. We wish him all the best🤝
Mati scored 2 brillant goals as we went 2-4 down HT.

It wasn’t long before we were back in the game with 2 quick fire goals to make it 4-4. Mati with his and our 3rd before Kyle rifled one in for the 4th just a few minutes later.
The visitors went ahead again with 15 to go from a set piece. 5 minutes later Max gets us back into the game with 10 to go…

Pretty end to end at this point, nfr win a penalty after the referee played the advantage but when the attackers shot was saved he blew up… the defender stepped up to take it and managed to hit both posts with the ball rolling along the line. NFR were adamant it hit the inside of the post. Us not quite the opposite (obviously)

It was almost a here’s Hogg, DEENEYYY counter attack but Fishy’s effort hit the crossbar. With a minute to go the ball is cleared up field and Mati has touched it from the sky before slotting it past the keeper to make it 6-5!! Great scenes and win for game that means nothing now😂

Great fun on a Sunday morning and congrats again NFR on the title!

Playing catch up on and off the pitch this season…

Couple weeks ago we were away to NFR at kings park after a decent first half performance and the hosts being reduced to 10 men just before HT. We had our tails up with the score 2-1…
Moments of magic from the skipper in the 2nd half was the difference in the scoreline.
The win for the hosts meant they sealed the league title. Congratulations deserved winners👏🏻

With the news of JP Morgan and Rushmere folding, we now have 3 less games to catch up on. Not so bad now😅

Another week off with Ssc pulling out the previous week.
Yesterday we went to Strouden to take on Bourne with very thin squad but massive credit to the 10 what showed up, incredible effort and another huge 3 points as we play catch up…
Massive one next week as we are away to league leaders New Forest Rangers!
