🍂 A brand-new autumn adventure is coming to Discovery Village!

From 3rd September, children can join friendly New Forest park ranger Autumn Ash and their special friend, Rustle the Red Squirrel, for Autumn Ash’s Woodland Wander.

After all the unusually hot and dry weather, the woodland animals have become a little muddled and need help preparing for winter. Our young woodland helpers can:

🌰 Search for acorns to refill Rustle’s winter store
🐾 Follow animal tracks through a magical moonlit forest
🦉 Discover woodland animals and learn about their homes and food
🐭 Move like animals in our woodland dance
🍁 Help bring the colours of autumn back to our special tree

The adventure can continue at home too. Every child will receive a free Woodland Trail scavenger hunt sheet to take away and complete in a local woodland with their special grown-up.

🎉 NEW PARTY BAGS HAVE ARRIVED! 🎉

We’ve been working on one final little extra to make parties at Discovery Village even easier for grown-ups… our brand new woodland-themed party bags! 🌿🦊

Designed to match our woodland café, each bag is packed with a mix of fun activities and treats for children to take home, including our very own Discovery Village activity book, colouring pencils, animal mask, bubbles and more.

They’re now available as an optional add-on to our Gold Parties and Exclusive Hires, which means you can turn up, enjoy the party and leave the organising to us. 🙌

A little behind-the-scenes look at one of our team transforming this giant cardboard tube with a tree-bark vinyl wrap, ready for our brand-new Autumn Ash adventure launching in September.

Once finished, it’ll become much more than just a very convincing tree trunk. It’s being turned into an interactive prop for the story, designed to help children explore cause and effect by seeing how their actions can make something happen.

A lot goes on behind the scenes to bring our stories to life, from writing and designing the activities to building, wrapping and testing some rather unusual-looking props!

We can’t wait for you to see what this one does… 👀🍂🐿️

🏴‍☠️ SEND-Friendly Play Tomorrow! 🧭

A little reminder that our next SEND-Friendly Play session is tomorrow, Wednesday 19th August, from 3:45pm–5:45pm.

These sessions have a reduced capacity and lower volume, creating a calmer environment to explore Discovery Village at your own pace.

Captain Compass will also be joining us for our current Pirate Quest adventure, with all activities completely optional. Children are welcome to join in as much or as little as they like.

Siblings are very welcome too. 💛

Captain Compass may still be sailing the seven seas, but behind the scenes we’re already getting ready for our next adventure, launching at the beginning of September!

We’re keeping most of the story under our ranger hat for now… but here are a few little clues. 👀

🌰 And we’ve been going completely nuts over the props for this one…

Expect an adventure full of autumn colours, woodland discoveries and plenty of our usual Discovery Village silliness.

This Christmas, Mrs Claus needs the help of our little explorers as Santa prepares for his important training flights… and, as always at Discovery Village, there will be plenty of storytelling, interactive activities, festive magic and a very special visit from the man himself. ❤️

As a little thank-you to everyone who supported our Christmas event last year, anyone who booked Christmas with us in 2025 will get first access to tickets this Tuesday.

And because we know Christmas can be an expensive time of year, you don’t need to pay for everything at once.

When you book, you can pay just 25% of your booking, then pay the remaining balance whenever suits you, as long as it’s paid by 16th November. Or, if you prefer, you can pay the full amount straight away.
