Well done to our U12 Harps after another excellent performance against Ardglass this morning. 🇳🇬🇳🇬

It was a real game of two halves. With a strong wind behind us in the first half, the girls played some excellent football before having to dig deep against the conditions after the break. Ardglass applied plenty of pressure, but the girls continued to work incredibly hard right to the final whistle.

There were seriously strong performances across the team, particularly from those girls who only started playing football this year. Their progress has been brilliant to watch.

Well done, girls! 👏🇳🇬

A well known local business in the Ballymote Centre, McGreevy’s has been serving the Downpatrick community since 1997, building an excellent reputation for quality produce, traditional butchery and great customer service.

The business has grown over the years to include its hugely popular Coffee Shop, Bakery & Deli, serving everything from breakfasts and speciality sandwiches to homemade soups, sweet treats and, of course, a great cup of coffee!

Local clubs like ours simply couldn’t do what we do without the backing of local businesses, and we are extremely grateful to Richard and all the team at McGreevy’s for supporting the Hoops.

💚🤍 RGU BOW OUT AT THE QUARTER-FINAL STAGE 💚🤍

Our lads’ championship journey came to an end today at the quarter-final stage against Ballyholland.

As the saying goes, goals win games, and Ballyholland took their chances when they came, while unfortunately we were wasteful in front of goal.

Despite the disappointment today, we are extremely proud of this group of lads and everything they have shown throughout the season. There is plenty of talent within this team, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow and develop over the coming years. 💚🤍

A massive thank you to the management team for all the time, effort and commitment they have given throughout the year, and to all our parents and supporters who have followed and encouraged the lads along the way.

Not to be for the Senior Men as they bowed out of the Championship against Kilcoo this evening in St John's.

Three goals conceded in the first half proved too big an obstacle. A much improved battling performance in the second but it wasn't enough.

And that's the end of the season. Many thanks to all our players and management for all their efforts. 👏👏👏

Well its been a tough oul year for our Senior Ladies for a myriad of reasons. But tonight they turned back the clock with a brilliant display in their relegation playoff against Annaclone.

As always, there were a few scares along the way but it was a delighted Hoops team at the final whistle on a scoreline of RGU 3.12, Annaclone 2.10.

Many thanks to those girls who kept the spirit alive throught a difficult season. It's easy to give up, but enough didn't. And it showed tonight.

Many thanks also to JR and Tosh, not easy to keep going but they did. 👏👏

We are saddened to hear of the passing of a great friend of RGU, Paddy Kearney.
Paddy spent a lifetime following his beloved Hoops, something he has passed on to his family who continue to support the club in so many ways.
Indeed son Liam was a very talented player who donned the green and white with so much pride for many years.
To Paddy’s wife Patricia and to Patrick, Michelle, Raymond, Dermot, Martina, Kieran, Kelly, Claire, Liam and Ross we extend our sincerest condolences.
