We are delighted to announce that a new Facebook and Instagram page has been set up for Lecale Amateur Swimming Club (including a direct link to this page which means you’ll still have access to all of our old photos etc…).

Lecale ASC 🖤🤍

Lecale Amateur Swimming Club Established in 1984, Lecale is a competitive swimming club that strives to enable all swimmers to meet their maximum potential in a fun, friendly and positive environment.

This Lecale member is currently at a Hallowe’en training camp with the Ulster Schools Swimming Squad. She was selected with 23 other swimmers and invited to travel to a 9 day training camp in Tenerife. They have been training 2-4hrs per day Long Course in an open air pool. The camp included a trip to Siam Park and the beach for recovery with evening activities and challenges each day.

We’ve enjoyed two days of superb swimming from these inspirational Lecale members at this weekend’s Swim Ulster Aspiring Champions Meet 1.

The meet attracted the top swimmers from all Ulster Clubs including 2 Paris 2024 Olympians!

Lecale had:
12 Swimmers
30 PBs
7 Top 10 finishes
1 Ulster Short Course Open Champs QT.
Lots of medals of all colours.

We’ve had a fabulous Sunday at the Swim Ulster Future Challenger Meet 1.

A massive turnout from Lecale with a total of 17 swimmers, racking up 10 of the much sought after ‘time banded’ medals and an abundance of PBs.

Congratulations to each and everyone of our swimmers, especially those making their gala debut. What an absolutely brilliant start to the season!

🎯 Pentathlon Taster Day🤺

Ever wondered what it's like to try Pentathlon? Come join the Sport Ireland Campus and Pentathlon Ireland Talent ID and Taster Day for young athletes aged 10 - 15 years who are currently participating in Swimming, Gymnastics, or Athletics, and are interested in trying out Pentathlon, whether for recreation or competition.

📅 Saturday, September 7th from 10am - 2pm, Costs €10.

Participants will enjoy:
🏃‍♂️ Fitness testing with personalised results
🤺 Fencing sessions
🏋️‍♀️ Obstacle racing
🎯 Laser shooting

From September 2024, there will be opportunities to pursue Pentathlon at both recreational and competitive levels at Sport Ireland Campus.

This junior Lecale member had an incredible opportunity to attend the Wiffen half-day swim clinic at the Lakeland Forum in Enniskillen. Daniel Wiffen along with his two brothers Nathan and Ben, led a water based session, followed by land training, a presentation and an engaging Q and A session. Daniel was supported by his brothers and parents throughout the event. Daniel and his family are a credit to swimming.

We look forward to our swimmers holding their very own Olympic medals! 🏅🏅
