🏆 Ellis & Violet 🏆

This week we have two very well-deserved Player of the Match awards! 👏⚽️
Both players put in fantastic performances and showed exactly what it means to work hard for the team. 💛🖤

🛡️ Ellis

- 💪 Strong and composed at the back
- 🗣️ Great communication and talking with his teammates
- 🧠 Stayed calm under pressure throughout
- 🎯 Played some excellent balls forward
- ⭐ A really solid all-round performance

🔥 Violet

- 🚀 Came on at half-time and really proved her point
- 💥 Very strong and committed in the tackles
- 🧱 Did all the simple things brilliantly
- 💪 Showed fantastic confidence and determination
- 😤 Played with absolutely no fear

⚽🌙 Midweek Trip to Broadwell Amateurs Youth Football Club for the U12's 🌙⚽

A game arranged on Saturday saw Harrow Hill make the short trip to local side Broadwell on Wednesday night. After a really positive start to the season, both in performances and results, we were looking to keep that momentum going. 💪

Unfortunately, we started very slowly. We gave Broadwell far too much time on the ball, weren't pressing as we normally do and our passing game just didn't get going.

👏 Credit to Broadwell — they really took the game to us in the first half, played some good football and deservedly went into the break 2–0 ahead.

🔄 Second Half Response

After some changes and a few words from the coaches, Harrow Hill finally came alive in the second half. We started pressing higher, forcing Broadwell into mistakes and creating some really good opportunities.

But it just wasn't our night in front of goal! 😩
⚽ Rheo hit the post
🎯 A free kick rattled the crossbar
⚡ Freddie also hit the post

It felt like the ball simply didn't want to go in! 😂

With five minutes remaining, Broadwell added a third and secured a deserved victory.

💭 Final Thoughts

We gave ourselves far too much to do after the first half, and we'll certainly learn from that. If we'd started the game with the intensity and attitude we showed in the second half, who knows what might have happened

But one thing that can never be questioned is the fight from this group. They kept going right until the final whistle and never gave up. 💜💪
Well done to Broadwell and good luck for the rest of the season.

⚽ Match Report ⚽

Our third league game of the season saw us welcome Whitecroft to the Hill, and we made sure the players knew the standards had to continue. 👊
🔥 And continue they did!

Harrow Hill took control from the start. We were perhaps a little slow getting the ball forward at times, but we looked comfortable, controlled the game and kept the pressure on.
Just before half time, we were awarded a penalty and Chester stepped up confidently to slot it home. 🎯⚽

🚀 Second Half:
We came out just as strongly, but this time moved the ball forward much quicker. A quality corner from Chester found Rheo, who was in the right place to finish and make it 2–0. ⚽

⭐ The third goal was the one of the day!
Starting right from the back, the team moved the ball around brilliantly, with some fantastic passing and movement before Chester finished it off for his second of the day. What a team goal! 👏👏

💪 Even at 3–0, the team didn't take their foot off the gas. We continued to play as though the game was still 0–0, kept pushing and were rewarded late on when Rheo grabbed his second to make the final score:

💜 Another performance the Harrow Hill players can be incredibly proud of. The attitude, teamwork, passing and desire to keep improving were there for all to see.

Sometimes the chances don’t all go in, but it’s how you respond that matters — and Chester kept going and made sure he got his rewards! 🙌

⚽️ NEW U12 TEAM ⚽️

We’re excited to announce the launch of an additional U12 team at Harrow Hill Youth Football Club! 🎉

This is a great opportunity for young players to train, develop their skills, build confidence and become part of a team, while enjoying everything our club has to offer.

📅 Training: Every Wednesday
⏰ Time: 6:00–7:00pm
📍 Location: Harrow Hill Football Club, GL17 9JP
💷 £10 per month

🏟️ MORE THAN JUST FOOTBALL
Players joining the U12 team will have the opportunity to make use of the club facilities, meet and train alongside other players, and become part of a welcoming football community.

Families will also benefit from the support of our existing players and club families, helping everyone feel part of the Harrow Hill community from day one.

We’ll also look to get the team involved in club events and activities throughout the year, creating experiences and friendships both on and off the pitch.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take against a very good Charlton Rovers side.

A really well-taken goal from Ben ⚽, a solid MOTM performance from Zachary ⭐, some great saves, good teamwork and chances created. Lots to build on as the lads continue to develop together.

⚽💜 A Tough Test at Weston 💜⚽
Today we headed to Weston knowing we were in for a tough game — but that’s exactly what football is all about. Every game brings a challenge, and today was certainly no different.

💪 What a Performance from the Team!
The attitude, effort and fighting spirit from Harrow Hill was absolutely superb. For the full 60 minutes, every player gave everything and battled together as a team. There were plenty of moments where we played some really good football too, showing exactly what this group is capable of. 👏

⭐ Rheo got himself on the scoresheet, and it was nothing more than his pure hard work deserved. He chased everything, never gave up and on another day could easily have added a few more! ⚽🔥

👏 Credit to Weston — they showed their quality and ultimately earned a well-deserved victory.

💭 Coaches' Thoughts:
Of course, defeats aren't easy, but there is so much for us to take from today. We’ll learn from it, work on the areas we need to improve and come back even stronger. 💪
After 60 minutes of hard work, determination and some really good football, we couldn't be prouder of the Harrow Hill team.
