The Prosser Tennis Academy offers a variety of Junior and Adult coaching programmes which are suitable for complete beginners up to advanced players.

We run a year-round programme with term time courses and holiday camps.

🎾🏆 SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE DEVELOPMENT TOURNAMENTS 🏆🎾

After five fantastic months, the South Staffordshire Development Tournaments have come to a close — and what a success they have been!

Hosted across Quarry Bank, Wall Heath, Wombourne and Stourbridge Tennis Club, the programme included four singles events and one doubles event across Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Ball.

More than 60 juniors from the south of the county took part, playing an incredible 1,100 + matches! Most importantly, the events opened the door to competition for players from all four clubs, giving them valuable match experience in a positive and supportive environment.

Our juniors were an absolute credit throughout. A huge thank you to Adrian, Dan and Grant, along with my brilliant coaching team at The Prosser Tennis Academy, for all the time and effort they have given to making these events possible.

As the Quarry Bank delegate, I want to say a particularly heartfelt thank you and well done to all our QBTC players and parents. There have been so many successes, highlights and lessons learnt along the way.

Watching our juniors grow in confidence, support one another and represent our club with such pride has been incredibly special. Their commitment, determination and team spirit have made us enormously proud. 💚

*A little reflection on our Aspiring Coaches Workshop...*

Some started the day quite quietly but gradually found a confidence I hadn't seen in them before. Others initially found it difficult to explain activities, but with a few small reflections and tweaks to their wording, they improved massively. A few of them could genuinely step into an assistant coaching role tomorrow.

One message I shared throughout the day was that *attitude is 90% of what sets you apart as a coach*. Coaching is a competitive industry, but every single person today has made a fantastic start.

I'm always so proud of our juniors who choose to spend a Saturday investing in themselves and developing new skills. That determination to learn and improve will serve them well, both on and off the court.

🎾 Opening Tennis up for Daniel 💚

Twelve months ago, The Prosser Tennis Academy hosted a fundraising event at Quarry Bank Tennis Club in partnership with the incredible team at Bright Ideas for Tennis.

Thanks to everyone who supported the event, we raised an amazing £1,000 to help open tennis up within our local community and create opportunities for people who may otherwise face barriers to taking part.

Since then, the funding has enabled us to provide inclusive tennis opportunities for local schools but it has also allowed us to support one very special young man: Daniel Berg.

Daniel captured our hearts from the moment he first came onto the court. He was an absolute pleasure to coach, and his enthusiasm and personality shone through immediately.

Through our Bright Ideas for Tennis fund, we have been able to provide Daniel with:

🎾 A brand-new tennis racket
🎾 Individual tennis lessons
🎾 Red Ball group coaching sessions
🎾 A place at one of our HAF holiday camps
🎾 Quarry Bank Tennis Club membership for the 2026/27 season

The Bright Ideas for Tennis project was created to provide “levelling up” opportunities removing the barriers that can prevent people from accessing tennis and experiencing the physical, social and emotional benefits of belonging to a sports club.

Daniel has a rare disability that affects his mobility due to bone and spinal abnormalities. Although he loves sport and being active, he struggles to keep up with his peers and often finds activities inaccessible. Daniel is a cheerful, cheeky boy who simply wants the opportunity to join in and enjoy sports alongside his friends.

Daniel’s journey is a wonderful example of why community fundraising matters. It isn’t simply about buying equipment or funding sessions; it is about helping someone feel welcomed, supported and part of something.

Daniel’s mom, Izzy, said:
“Daniel has loved being part of QBTC. He is excited to be able to join in, develop at his own pace, and play alongside his peers. The support and encouragement from the coaches have helped him build confidence, develop his skills, and most importantly, enjoy playing.”

Watching Daniel settle into the academy and enjoy his time on court has been incredibly special. We feel privileged to be part of his journey and cannot wait to see his confidence, skills and love of tennis continue to grow.

A heartfelt thank you to Bright Ideas for Tennis and everyone who supported our fundraising event.

This is exactly what community tennis should be about: opening doors, removing barriers and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to play. 💚🎾

I honestly couldn’t be prouder of him. Seeing the work, commitment and effort he puts into his tennis and then watching it all come together on the big stage is so special.

From winning the U9 County Championships to then staying on and taking on the U10 competition against older players and making it all the way to the final! 🥈🎾

I honestly couldn’t be prouder. I know I’m biased, but the work this kid puts into his tennis is incredible, and seeing his hard work paying off is so special.

🎾🏆 A FIRST DOUBLES ADVENTURE FOR DANTE & HARRY! 🏆🎾

A brilliant first step into doubles competition for Dante and Harry as they took on the Grade 3 Staffordshire County Championships — their first ever tournament together! 👏

Stepping into a new format and competing against some strong opposition was always going to be a challenge, but the boys approached it with an absolutely fantastic attitude from start to finish.

As a coach, watching them grow in confidence match by match, find their rhythm and start to believe in what they could do was a very proud moment. ❤️🎾

Their behaviour, teamwork and attitude on court were exemplary, and it was an absolute pleasure to watch them represent themselves and the academy so well.

Most importantly, both boys have come away realising something really important…

They belong on this court, and they have what it takes to compete. 💪🔥

What a first experience — and hopefully the first of many! 🎾👏

🎾OLLIE’S SUMMER OF MATCH PLAY! 🎾

This summer, Ollie has really committed to getting more match experience under his belt, putting himself out there across Men’s and Junior LTA events, with plenty of different challenges along the way.

There have been some brilliant highlights:
🏆 First ever G3 at the Stourbridge Open — and a win! A fantastic milestone.
🥇 QBTC Adult One-Day Singles Champion
🎾 Plenty of Men’s B Team league matches, helping the team currently sit top of the league!

The results are great, but the biggest win is the experience Ollie is gaining every time he steps on court against different players and different styles.

Keep putting yourself out there, Ollie. Keep learning, keep competing and keep improving! 👏🎾

🎾🧡 WHAT A 6 WEEKS FOR MEGAN! 🧡🎾

A busy six weeks playing some fantastic tennis in Grade 3 events, finishing thud week at the County Championships in Orange — as the only girl in the draw! 💪🎾

And somehow, in between all that, Megan also found time to compete in the U8 event and finish 3rd! 👏🔥

So much progress, confidence and determination. Super proud of you, Megan! Keep pushing and enjoying your tennis! 🌟🎾

Joe has been busy this year, taking on a variety of LTA tournaments and learning more about his game with every competition. 💪
