What an absolute honour. 🇬🇧🌍
Yesterday I had the privilege of competing in the first ever Deadly Dozen World Championships, racing at the prestigious Crystal Palace Stadium alongside athletes from 46 countries around the world.
To qualify for a World Championship and have the opportunity to represent Great Britain on the biggest Deadly Dozen stage yet is something I’m incredibly proud of. 🇬🇧
After the calf injury over the last few weeks, there were times when I genuinely wasn’t sure whether I’d even make the start line. So to get out there, take the runs steady, have the calf hold up and cross that finish line made it even more special.
A massive congratulations and thank you to my doubles partner Harvey Tamber 👊 What a guy to share this experience with. We worked together from start to finish, pushed each other through every station and crossed the line in 1:01. 💪🔥
The time was almost secondary yesterday. It was about getting to that start line, representing Great Britain 🇬🇧, taking on the challenge and enjoying an experience that I’ll never forget.
What a journey. What an experience. And what a privilege to have been part of the very first one. ❤️🇬🇧
