Works day delayed by a week to allow a bit of drying out and scarifying to take place

Time to get the ground and surrounds put to bed for the winter

✅ Date: Sun 20th September
✅ Time: 10am

Plenty of jobs to get down including:

- Seeding and loaming the square
- Cover and hoses dissembled
- Rope reeled away
- Sightscreen slats removed
- Wooden benches stored away
- Sheet up the nets
- General tidy up and empty/ jet-wash bins
- Probably more jobs

All support welcome as a good turn out will ensure all can be done ASAP 👍

After our final games last week, we held our Senior Men’s teams presentation night

Well done to all our winners and thanks as ever to Paul Whitworth for organising the trophies and award winners. Turned out to be a late-night karaoke and a few sore heads 🎤

What a season it has been for our 1st Team Ladies!

Yesterday they headed to Hazel grove CC for the DCCL Mary Smith High Peak Cup Finals Day and battled their way through to the final after a fantastic game against Old Glossop, drawing on the score but progressing on wickets! 👏🏼

Then came the final against a very strong Romiley Red Ball Ladies side and what a game of cricket it was!

A huge congratulations to Romiley Cricket Club on being crowned Cup Winners AND League Winners! 🏆🏆

What an incredible achievement and a fantastic advert for women’s cricket.

We couldn’t be prouder of our ladies. They have worked hard, supported each other and represented Stalybridge brilliantly throughout the season.

And yesterday was exactly what women’s cricket should be about!

Now it’s time for a well-earned rest… before they go again!….
