🪷🌟This Week’s Yoga Theme: Hope🌟🪷

This week, we’ll be exploring the theme of hope.

Hope is like a gentle light that begins within. As we breathe, move, and become present, we can nurture that inner light, allowing it to grow stronger with each breath. When hope shines from within, it changes how we see the world. Challenges become opportunities, moments become more meaningful, and even on cloudy days, we begin to notice the possibility of sunshine.

Together, we’ll cultivate hope through mindful movement, gentle stretching, and peaceful relaxation, leaving each session feeling lighter, brighter, and more connected.

I look forward to seeing you on the chair this week.

Take good care of yourselves.

Namaste 🙏

Hi Yogis 🪷

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend!

Here’s what’s happening this week:
Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Friday 22nd May:

Monday 18th:
✨ Golden Friendship Charity Chair Yoga
🕙 10:00am to 11:00am

✨ Community Chair Yoga
🕠 5:45pm to 6:45pm
📍 Ben View Resource Centre, Dumbarton, G82 1BA
(The community chair yoga session is £8, payable at the door via cash or bank transfer on request.)

Tuesday 19th:
✨Antonine Court Charity - Chair Yoga.
🕣 1:00 to 2:00.

Friday 22nd:
✨ Northwood Care Home - Chair Yoga
🕣 1:30 -2:30.

⭐️ These sessions are inspired by the beautiful and powerful books The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk and The Lotus and the Monkey meditation book. Together they help us create a corner of calmness, inner power, strength, and vitality. ⭐️

🧠🫀 The Body Keeps the Score explores how trauma can be held within the body through tension, posture, breath patterns, nervous system dysregulation, and emotional reactivity. It reminds us that healing often involves reconnecting safely with the body through movement, breath, awareness, and supportive practices. 🧠🫀

🌊🩵 The meditation, will reminds us how deeply connected we are to water. It’s within us, around us, and it cleanses us quite literally. Let water show us that we can become still, we can become waves, yet we have the power to guide and calm ourselves through breath and body. 🩵🌊

Within the photo‘s below are books for the mind, crystals for the energy, and sound tools for the soul. We’ll be working with the calming energy of amethyst for peace and intuition, clear quartz for clarity and balance, and black tourmaline for grounding and protection. From the soft ring of chimes to the deep hum of a singing bowl, every piece is there with intention, a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and reconnect. Along with the charities and care home logo’s :- Golden Friendship, Ben View Centre, The Antonine Centre and Northwood care home. 🌿🕯️📚

Together we’ll explore breathwork, active movement, meditation, a spiritual story, a body scan, and Yoga Nidra, all beautifully woven into one nourishing session.

Looking forward to seeing you on the chair.

Namaste,

Tomorrow’s space is all about creating a calm little corner of healing and grounding ✨

Books for the mind, crystals for the energy, and sound tools for the soul.
