On Wednesday evening our club championship final was contested between John McCulloch Jnr and Kenny Paton. The conditions were a bit dreich to say the least but that didn't stop a thriller of a match from being played.

Kenny raced to 5-0 start then John got a couple of shots back. Kenny then mercilessly marched to a 16-3 lead with John going for an early bath. John regained his composure and set about clawing back the deficit to 17-16 to Kenny. Kenny then leant on his experience to close out the win over the next few ends to secure his 8th club championship down the Castle Road 👏

John has had a great season and sure he has a few championship victories in his future.

🏆 | Ladies Singles

Congratulations to Emma MacLeod of Dumbarton on winning back-to-back Bowls Scotland Ladies Singles titles.

Emma successfully defended the championship with a 21-10 victory over Newton Stewart’s Izzy Graham.

Best of luck to Emma MacLeod from Dumbarton BC who is now in the National Singles final at Northfield aiming to retain her title.

Rock were in DAC league action tonight at Argyle BC. There was a well fought victory for the Cocos which sees us into the play off final against Dumbuck BC on Monday next week.

John McCulloch Jnr played his 1st round game of the under 25s singles at the national finals this afternoon. The score was close until mid way when John's opponent gained a well deserved lead which John couldn't claw back.

Hard lines John, its been a great season so far and you've still got plenty to play for.

In the Youth Triples semi final Cian, Amy and young Coco Kai Connor were beaten by the better team unfortunately.

They still earned a bronze medal which is a great achievement.

Well done youngsters.

Mixed bag of results over the weekend at the National finals at Northfield. On Saturday Rhuari Brown and his partner Shaun McCarry lost out in the Youth Pairs to opponents who were inspired on the day.

Today Robert Clark lost in the over 55 singles in tough conditions.

Young Coco Kai Connor and his partners Amy McAlpine and Cian Ambage have progressed to the semi finla sof the Youth Triples after a couple of close encounters.
