Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club - DASC Founded in 1964 and has been helping swimmers of all ages and abilities reach their maximum potential in the water ever since. We offer training sessions for various abilities, from junior squads to Masters, competitive and non-competitive swimmers.

The Scottish National Open Short Course Masters & Senior Age Group Championships also took place this weekend at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre, Glenrothes

We had 3 masters in attendance (glad to see the masters representatives are growing in number!)

A really good weekend of racing and some fast times.

Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club have 2 tickets up for grabs for the 2024 AP Race Summer Clinics Tour!

Adam Peaty himself will be in attendance at DG1 on Sunday 25th August for a masterclass on breaststroke.

For your opportunity to get your hands on one of these tickets we will be holding a raffle with all proceeds going towards the club’s Diamond Anniversary Awards Ball at the end of the month.

£5 per raffle ticket
The normal retail price for one of these tickets is £215 plus booking fees.

1) 50% deposits to be received by 30th June with the remaining balance due on the 30th July.

Massive congratulations from us all at Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club to our Masters swimmer Alison Pringle (who has been trying to keep this a secret!)

Alison found out this week that she has only gone and qualified for the 2024 World Triathlon Age-Group Championships in Torremolinos this October.

What a fantastic achievement and opportunity!

After 5 incredible days of racing the club remains in the top 10 for the second consecutive year, beating last year’s effort of 228 points and moving up two places! ⭐️💙⭐️💙🎉

⭐️ MEDAL ALERT ⭐️ Plus our Super Saturday Finalists

Girls 800m Freestyle was on the agenda for both sessions today and this event is heat declared winners.

So first up was the 17-18yr and that could only mean one swimmer Miss Georgia Dickie. As always she maintained a great pace throughout and was truly deserving of 🥈 medal.

Then it was all 👀 eyes on Miss Amber Hinton.
From the start she controlled the race and maintained a steady pace, ensuring that she had enough leg power left to finish the race strong 💪 with a good 9 seconds lead over the next swimmer. Picking up a super 🥇 medal for her incredible performance.

Lots of fantastic performances again today including some from our first time SNAG swimmers who were absolutely incredible 💙⭐️💙⭐️

We also have the following swimmers making it through to tonight finals:

200m IM - Amber Hinton
200m Freestyle - Yassin Hatab, Nathan Zaoral and Rhys Edwards
100m Butterfly - Yassin Hatab & Finlay Nelson
