Why I’m the right coach for you, no matter what your age. 💜
Because I don’t coach you from a textbook.
I coach the woman.
The woman who has a career.
The woman who has children.
The woman who is caring for everyone else.
The woman who is starting over.
The woman who feels like her body has suddenly changed.
The woman who wants to get stronger.
The woman who wants to lose weight without living on a diet.
The woman who wants to feel confident in her body again.
The woman who has put herself last for years and is finally ready to put herself somewhere on the list.
And I understand that what you need from your health and fitness changes as your life changes.
The approach that worked in your 20s might not work in your 40s.
And what you need in your 50s isn’t necessarily what you needed in your 30s.
Your training needs to evolve.
Your nutrition needs to evolve.
And sometimes, most importantly, your mindset needs to evolve.
I’m not here to give you a six-week quick fix.
I’m here to help you build strength, confidence, knowledge and habits that fit into your actual life.
Because I’ve lived enough life to know that life doesn’t always go to plan.
And I’ve learned that looking after yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s what allows you to keep showing up for all the people and things that matter to you.
Whatever your age, whatever stage of life you’re in, and whatever your starting point, I’ve probably been there too.
And if I haven’t?
I’ll listen, learn and meet you where you are.
That’s coaching. 💜

You might know me as a coach, but there’s more to me than sets, reps and protein targets. 😂
So, here’s a little glimpse at the woman behind KG Health & Fitness. 💜
Some things you’ll probably already know, and some might surprise you!

Weekly wins 💜
I mean, really, all I can focus on this week is what an amazing weekend I had in Leeds at Sophia Harris | Nutritionist & food behaviour coach Charity event.
It started with a bakery tour on Friday (obviously 😂🥐) followed by the event on Saturday at CATCH in Leeds.
I was incredibly lucky to be asked to speak on a panel all about hormone health, PMS, perimenopause and menopause, something I’m hugely passionate about and could quite happily talk about all day!
As always with these events, it’s so good to be surrounded by other coaches in the industry who share the same values, believe in evidence-based practice and are banging the same drum when it comes to helping women navigate their health and fitness.
And it was even more special to have my client and friend there to experience the weekend too. 💜
Lots of learning, lots of laughing, lots of good food and some really brilliant conversations.
And, as always, it was great to come home to Mr G, who rebuilt me with a roast dinner. 😋❤️
Definitely one of those weekends that reminds me how lucky I am to do what I do.

‘I want to get fit and strong but I don’t know where to start’.
I get it, it can be totally overwhelming and the gym can feel like an intimidating space.
But you don’t need to know where to start, that’s what a good coach is for.
You just need to be willing to take the first step, I’ll help you figure out the rest.
If you want to start training I have coaching spaces available and I’d love to help 💜

I love September 💜
And not just because it’s my Birthday Month 😜
It feels like the perfect time for a ‘reset’.
There’s 4 months left in the year which might not feel like long but it’s plenty of time to make some changes.
Maybe you want to get stronger 💪🏼
Or feel more confident with your nutrition? Or maybe you just want to get back into routine after the summer.
Whatever your goals are, if you’d like some help with a September reset then drop me a DM or fill out the form in my bio. I’d love to help 💜

What a week!! So much fun was had (maybe too much 😜) while Tracy P was visiting but honestly, that’s what life is about.
Days out in Edinburgh, experiencing the Fringe through a tourist’s eyes.
Not one but TWO concerts 🎶 Dancing the night away with my girls and, possibly my favourite win of the week, getting my 20-year-old daughter on my shoulders again! 💪🏼😂
And off course, Ladies Night at Foxlake with some of the KG Health & Fitness Crew 💜
Lots of walks, with baked goods included obvs 😜, and a little bit of training with my gym buddy for old times’ sake.
Then a weekend of rest, recovery and lots of admin.
But the biggest win for me this week?
My body allowed me to do all of it.
At 51, my body is changing. And if I’m honest, there are still days when I struggle with that.
But weeks like this remind me that there is SO much more to my body than how it looks.
It carried me around Edinburgh.
It walked miles.
It danced for hours.
It lifted weights.
It carried my daughter on my shoulders.
It gave me the energy to enjoy time with people I love.
And that feels pretty amazing. 💜
So yes, I’m looking forward to getting back into a bit of routine this week, but not because I need to “undo” anything.
There’s nothing to undo.
I lived my life. I enjoyed myself. I made memories.
And now I’ll get back to the things that make me feel good. 💪🏼
Before, of course, the event of the year in Leeds next weekend! 🩵Apollo Nutrition🩵 Charity event 🩵

For the past couple of years I’ve been heading to Ladies Night at Foxlake with a group of clients, and it’s always such a fun night! 💜
One of the things I love most is seeing clients who were initially anxious about putting on a wetsuit (because who isn’t?! Those things are NOT designed to be flattering 😜) completely relax, get stuck in and enjoy themselves.
And that’s what I love about these nights.
It’s not about how we look in the wetsuit.
It’s about laughing until your stomach hurts, trying something new, enjoying good food, and, most importantly, appreciating what our bodies are actually capable of.
Our bodies are for living in, not constantly judging. 💜
Lots of laughter, lots of good food and lots of chat and a few very questionable wetsuit photos thrown in for good measure! 😂

Perimenopause is fu***ng hard and we all have multiple demands on our time.
But you deserve to look after yourself because if you don’t put your own oxygen mask on first how are you going to help everyone else in your life??
I should also add that Graeme Gardiner is way better at remembering appointments, birthdays and what’s in the fridge than I am 😜
