Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 20th September at 12.00pm at New Hallhill Sports Centre.

We’re always looking for people who are passionate about Dunbar United and can bring fresh ideas, skills and enthusiasm to help move the Club forward. If you feel you could make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

👏 | CREDIT WHERE IT’S DUE

Before we start building up to next Saturday’s big Scottish Cup tie, both of us on the social media team felt the lads deserved a shoutout for the tremendous effort they put in against Darvel yesterday.

Despite the result, there were plenty of standout performances across the park, with a couple of our players already getting a well-deserved mention for their work rate.

The effort, commitment and football on show deserved more from the game, but the lads can hold their heads high after a performance like that.

It’s Darvel who advance to the next round of the South Challenge Cup.

Despite the result, The Seasiders can be very proud of the performance they put in throughout the match, playing some great football and creating plenty of chances in both halves without getting the luck their performance deserved.

Next up on Saturday 12th September, The Seasiders return to New Countess Park as we welcome fellow East Lothian side Preston Athletic in the third preliminary round of the Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup.

An East Lothian derby with a place in the next round at stake. Kick-off is at 15.00pm.

It’s cup action on the road for The Seasiders today, with a trip to Ayrshire to take on West of Scotland League Premier Division side Darvel at Recreation Park in the second round of the South Challenge Cup.

Following last Saturday’s league victory over Edinburgh University, As always, Darren Smith and his coaching staff have had the lads working hard in training this week ahead of today’s big cup clash, with morale high in the camp after a strong start to the season.

Captain Grant Thomson, who missed last weekend’s win through injury, returned to training on Thursday ahead of today’s match.

Darvel, managed by former Rangers fan favourite Nacho Novo, currently sit just above mid-table in the West of Scotland Premier Division after winning three of their opening five league matches. Their most recent league outing came in mid-August, when they edged to a 3–2 home victory over Glenafton Athletic. This afternoon’s fixture will be the first meeting between the two sides, so it should prove to be an intriguing match.

With next Saturday’s big Scottish Cup tie against Preston Athletic at New Countess Park also on the horizon, The Seasiders will be looking to keep the momentum going with another good result today.
