East Region #2
East Fife 1-2 DUSC
Cole ⚽️ Fairfield Takeaway
Daz ⚽️ The Dundee Joiner
The team headed back to Leven again today this time to take on East Fife.
Only 13 boys available again due to a combination of holiday/injury/suspension along with boys quitting football altogether.
It’s been a tough schedule for the boys, but grit and determination got them through the tie today.
It wasn’t pretty, the wind played a significant factor and we were resolute in defending against it first half.
Second half we raced into a two goal lead and to be fair had chances to increase this but the opposition goalkeeper made some good stops.
East Fife grabbed a lifeline with a well taken effort and made for a nervy finish but the boys seen the game out well to put us into the next round!
Well done guys, great shift today 🧡🖤
We wish East Fife all the best for the rest of the season 🤝
On a sad note, we say goodbye to Stas, Kayden and Bailly who have all made the decision to quit football.
All have more than played their part in the teams history and successes.
Kayden has been here since the end of 7 a sides, while Stas joined in the second season of 11s along with Bailey.
We hope that this isn’t the end of your football journey and that you guys return to football soon and wish you and your families all the very best 🧡
