Maryfield United 2013’s

Tonight fixture is our first of the League Canpaign in the Ronnie McCabe League against Forfar.

We’ll be looking for a positive start to the campaign and a good performance from the team.

A really good day for football today and the boys didn’t disappoint playing some great football and finding space when there literally was none. A different kind of game today played in the smallest 11 a side pitch we’ve seen against a stuffy Dryburgh side. The team done well to figure it out and in the end should’ve had a few more goals but another good runout in the league cup with plenty of minutes getting into the legs.

With two teams forfeiting cup games against us this week our final game of the league cup group comes against Dryburgh at South Road tomorrow.

Good start to the competitive fixtures last night with a comfortable win over Ferry Athletic who themselves fought hard. Some really good goals from the team and probably feel they should have had more.

Season kicks off for us tomorrow. We play Ferry Athletic in the League Cup at Wellbank Park.

The boys will be looking to get the season off and running with a strong performance.

Another really good experience for the boys being invited to play at a great facility like Cormac Park to play Aberdeen Academy yesterday.

The boys edged the game which was great for them but they worked hard and put the last few weeks training sessions into the game which was great to see. This was our final preseason game before the League Cup campaign kicks off on Tuesday.

Tomorrow sees the team play our final Pre-Season game against Aberdeen.

The boys have put in loads of hard work over the past few weeks and have improved on performances week on week just in time to kick our competitive season off on Tuesday.

This game gives us another opportunity to play a very good side at a fantastic facility. 💪🏻⚽️

What a day of football at Fairmuir Park. Seven really good sides from all over Scotland competed in the Maryfield Summer Festival which was played to a great standard. Our boys come out eventual winners on Goal Difference to Inspire after 6 games of highly competitive football.

Massive thank you to the teams who attended today Hermes BluesInspire Futbol Glenburn Miners Welfare 2013 Musselburgh Windsor 2013 Currie Star 2013 and St Cadocs 2013 and made this preseason festival very worthwhile.

Also thanks to our group of parents once again for all their help and hard work in making the day a success, Laura McIntyre a star as always.

We have a busy week coming up with games against Luncarty 2013’s and Aberdeen FC, two training sessions and the boys strength and conditioning class before the official season kick off.
