This was only meant to be 6–8 weeks… 🤭 Val Reid
Val came to me having never lifted a weight or been a gymer. The plan was simple — lose a little weight, learn the basics of strength training and move on.
Fast forward almost a year… and she never left 🤭😂🤍
Nearly 3 stone down, but honestly, that’s only a small part of what’s changed.
She’s built muscle.
She’s built strength.
She understands her nutrition.
She knows her way around the gym.
And she’s fitter, stronger and more confident than she’s ever been.
The woman who wasn’t sure strength training was even “for her” is now a JD regular — and genuinely loves it. 💪
And we’re not finished yet.
The next goal is another ½ stone off, then we reassess and start bringing Val up to maintenance calories ahead of a big birthday next year. ✨
Because losing weight is one thing. Learning how to maintain your new body weight is another.
This is the part I don’t think gets talked about enough. So many people know how to diet, regain it, diet again… and spend years stuck in that cycle.
I want Val to know how to fuel her body, eat more, train hard and maintain what she’s worked so hard for — without constantly feeling like she needs to be “on a diet.”
I absolutely love training Val, but even more than that, I love watching her grow week by week.
Those 6–8 weeks went slightly over schedule 😂🤍
And I’m very excited for what’s still to come 🤭💪🏻🩷
