Another Hole in One!!!
Congratulations goes out to Willo Flood having just achieved a hole in one on the 12th hole at Downfield.
On the 17th July, Willo reached in the bag for his trusted 9 Iron and hit the shot of the day, playing from the white tees.
Willo joined Downfield in 2016, congratulations and we hope you don't have to wait too long for another one!

About The Championship
The Scottish Boys’ Amateur Championship is open to Scottish male amateur golfers who are under the age of 18 at the beginning of the year the Championship takes place. The Championship consists of 36 holes of stoke play qualifying, with the leading players progressing into knockout match play.
131 players will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. After 36 holes, the leading 64 competitors returning the lowest gross scores will progress to the Championship match play stages over the following three days.

Harry Riley is the Junior Club Champion at Downfield having just won the event for the 3rd year in a row.
Junior development is key at Downfield, the PGA Professionals have been organising coaching over past weeks with over 16 kids attending several coaching events, in addition the Order of Merit events have just started and again are well supported.

Downfield is truly a unique course, it's testing due to the length, water hazards and tricky greens which are incredibly quick currently running at over 10 on the stimp meter (3rd July). The course is truly stunning and has an abundance of wildlife, come and see for yourself and test your ability on one of the finest inland courses in Scotland.
