Perfect conditions to get all 3 of our skiffs out on the water for our Tuesday morning Show and Row session ☀️🚣‍♀️

If you fancy giving rowing a try, drop us a message! Our Show and Row sessions are open to all for a free trial, and we bet you'll love being out on the Tay as much as our rowers do 💙

A few snaps from the Tay Estuary Water Sports hub Regatta for the start of Broughty Ferry Gala Week 2026 . Not the best weather for the rowers unfortunately, but great for some very exciting sailing!

Really enjoyable to see the castle from a different point of view, and great fun to be out on the Tay with Dundee Sailing and Rowing Club, Dundee Sea & Royal Marines Cadets - TS Duncan and Ye Amphibious Ancients Bathing Association 🌊

With deep sorrow, our flag is at half mast as we mourn the sudden passing of our former Coxswain, Murray Brown.

We are shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic news.

Murray dedicated more than 30 years of service to Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station, serving in numerous roles throughout his remarkable RNLI career. He was an All-Weather Lifeboat crew member, mechanic and navigator, a D Class crew member and helm, and Lifeboat Training Coordinator, to name just a few, retiring in 2022.

Throughout his career, he assisted and saved countless lives with unwavering professionalism, courage and commitment.

Above all, Murray was a much-loved friend, mentor and highly respected member of our lifeboat family. His leadership, knowledge and dedication have left a lasting legacy, and he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Murray's family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

Fair winds and following seas, Murray. Rest in peace. 💙
